    thank you!

Thankfully I only do a 3 day week but have a v lazy husband (totally my fault I spoilt him lol), a typical moody teenager and a lively 3 year old that is getting over chicken pox. I have tidied my living room 3 days already today and it is already strewn with toys - so I have decided rather than getting stuck in groundhog day just concentrate on that one room - have freebayed a few bits today (large mirror, old toys) so I can now see potential and light at the end of the tunnel.

Thankfully I did our garden about a month ago when mother in law had kids - grass needs cutting but it is far too wet - even managed to get lazy oh to put some planters up for me under kitchen window so now have lovely cyclamen (sp?) to look at

I have winter prep mainly to progress as well as decluttering....
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

  • well I have spent the last hour or so reading this thread and NOT tackling the packing that still needs doing lol.. but I feel more motivated so I think it was time well spent .

I already follow the 5 miniute rule to get tasks done, and my personal fave saying about the elephant, but still I need a support network to get things done. lol so joining the frog thread,,

will post my list , when I can get the brain to work.. :D

  • welcome mineallmine and cornish chick...will be good to have you on board :T:D

donnajt...fortunately, I don't have a lazy dh...as long as he has directions (from yours truly of course ;) ) he is brilliant!! I am the lazy one in our relationship and he just tags along with it until I get into whirling dervish mode!!:o

I have spent all day reading these boards while he has been trying to fight his way through some of the brick dust and sorting laundry...:A i am hiding my shame by deciding that it is important to get back on the wagon and acquiring inspiration from here....:rotfl:

I have started to sort the budget again, despite not knowing where I am going with the building work going on, but the day to day stuff isn't going to change, so even that excuse was a poor one!!

Anyhoo...tomorrow is another day and I will squish more frogs then...I think I will start by doing a menu plan for the week that doesn't require a worktop, saucepans or any utensils....chips here we come!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

weather turned out MUCH nicer than I thought it would so I've tackled my major winter prep FROG: secured the downpipe from the guttering and the ones from the bath and sink and sealed the joints, vaguely cleaned the gutters as well. it took minutes - half an hour at most, but needs a dry day, at the wekend when the kids are co-operated, and I have to borrow the ladders from next door (who are LOVELY) but it just feels like too many things that need to converge:

well today they did and I've blinking done it - feel so much happier! reward is knowing the darn thing is done!

tadpole: washed 2nd of 3 venetian summer blinds that have been swapped for winter roman thermal blinds. One more to go and can bag them up and get them into the heaving loft.

Biggets frog is the darn loft. Right now I'm pretending the carp up there is "insulation"
    :AA/give up smoking (done) :)

Nice to see this thread revived. Less nice to realise that the frogs I was trying to squish last year are still alive and jumping.
The dining room that I was trying to tidy has finally, officially been given over as a store room for our Drop-in centre. At one point it was really well organised, with tinned food and packets arranged neatly on tables, sugar, flour and dried goods in pull out plastic boxes under the tables and a new freezer in the corner.
It has been all downhill since then.

I am going to try to do one frog a day and tomorrow's is typing some minutes of a meeting that people keep reminding me they haven't had.
This is also the week I produce the church magazine so that takes priority.
    I must focus.
    I must focus.
