    Good morning!

Yesterday, no pouring rain, so I went out in the morning for some exercise ("froglet" due to the weather). The "reward" was that it was a change and collected a few useful and/or bargain groceries. Also, as it was fine, several gardening jobs were done ("tadpoles"). Again another change to routine. Good Luck all.

No frogs done today. Does arranging the flowers count? No, I thought not.
Have managed to lose the key to the garden shed and can't get at any tools to use in the garden. I am just about managing to stifle my sobs.
I will try again tomorrow. Well done everyone else. You put me to shame.

Good morning, yesterday was more gardening "tadpoles". Weeding was the main aim but still a lot to do. A "reward" gained was at least some progress was made and managed to collect 110gr salad items that have been added to a big stir fry for today. Also made a tonic for some shrubs. Today, hope to continue gardening but may go on an errand first.

monnagran - Sorry about you not finding the key. How about checking immediately below the garden shed lock as it may have fallen and be "hidden" in any surrounding undergrowth?

dannie - thank you for your concern, but I have to tell you that if I saw the key lying on the ground under the lock I would just have to kick it further under the shed. As it is my dear friend went to the hardwear shop this a.m. and puchased a new lock and FOUR keys which she has kindly fitted to the door for me. Now I haven't any excuse not to get out the spade and start digging. Dammit!

monnagran - that's okay, it was just an idea. However, it sounds like your not so keen to sort out the garden. I am thinking that the oncoming colder weather will either prevent, or make harder gardening activities so keep tackling the "frogs" in the meantime.

As for yesterday, again gardening related "tadpoles" such as general tidying up, putting things away and oiling garden tools. Setting these aside, become up to date with received mail which is a "froglet" as it was not that interesting but yet important to read. Also, two errands collecting bulk kitchen supplies for winter("tadpole") and checking a local store for late grocery reductions ("froglet") which might be useful if winter is severe. Today, also collected more kitchen supplies. The "rewards" are it's just good to feel prepared and organised.
  • I`ve got a lot of froglets that are garden related, but was too tired after wandering around the carboot (it`s a huge one) till 2pm with DGD and THEN giging DD a last-minute lift into town for a new laptop by the time I got my `second wind` and did the poo-clearing and refilled the bird-feeders it was getting too dark.
I did come indoors and peel a huge pile of small spuds before starting on new sack of spuds (for yummy mustard mash with last night`s belly-pork) so that`s a froglet...

evening all. I'm sure you're all sensibly tucked up in bed by now, dreaming of squished frogs! just popped in to say after my last post thanks to you all fro suggestions. I did get a few things done, but yesterday fell over in Mum's garden (keeping an eye on things because they are away for a few months with one of my brothers) and Broke My Foot!!!
So now I am off my feet for 6 wks minimum, and I have to be on crutches to move from one place to another. I can't actually stand up for very long because my foot is agony, and of course, when I have my hands full of crutches I can't carry or move anything else.
I have a five and seven year old, who need to be taken to school every day, and next week (half term), the outlaws -one with dementia - are coming for four days. I feel a whole 'nother pile of frogs coming on. Don't really know what to do with myself, except have a little cry to myself. The OH is being very helpful, but honestly, I could kick myself. Help!

  • rowsew well what can I say to you Hun. You poor poor thing!! Do you have anyone who can take the kiddies to school for you? Do your in-laws have to come, perhaps you could postpone till you are back on your feet.

Try not to get yourself too stressed and try not to worry about not getting things done. You really must just try and rest that foot.

If you let us know what you want to get done, we might be able to come up with some ideas for you. One thing you could do whilst resting that foot is write your christmas cards, or maybe organise some lists for presents or maybe some on-line shopping??

    Big Hug for you x
