well done with loss of inches Kazw makes you feel good when it shows like that.
there is no fun in doing as you aare told - change of docs here and they are not very friendly or interesting - have seen my lovely OT this morning and will have a chat with him later in the week - he is one of the few people who understands how I feel.
have started a proper food record/diary - only ever done it half-hearted before - do you just keep a note of everything you eat or should \i be adding anything else?
will be popping in and keeping an eye on you.
love and hugs
tootsxxPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder

Had the tape measure out this morning, for my monthly measure in, since starting I have lost 3 off the top, 4 off the middle, and 5 1/2 off the butt (inches), so while my weight loss has slowed down, it seems I am firming up!! so pleased with that.
Was going to do 2 miles on machine this morning, but decided to wash my hair instead!, so I'll get home at lunch time and do the 2 miles then!!
That'll be all the exercise on the machine. How's it going? I started NHS Couch to 5k last week. I managed to complete week 1 but there's no way I'm starting week 2 yet, it's going to be at least another week lol
Smashed through my weightloss target. Looking at 120lbs+ loss. BMI over 40 down to 20.5. Training hard to get body fat under 20%, not far to go now :j0 -
Toots~# for me I write everythnig down I eat, ie cheese sandwich = 2 slices brown bread, thin flora, thin low cal mayo, thin slices of cheese, lettuce, and so on. I don't record drink as I only drink water, I did record 1 glass of wine for a 40th B/day.
I also use smaller plates than I use too, as I think less food on a large plate and I am still hungry, = smaller plate, less food and I am full!. (Mad I know, but hey ho it works for me)
Siren~ exercise machine is going ok, when I can get on it, as OH is in training for the Gt North run.............. how is your machine going?
Off to google NHS couch to 5k, as I have no idea what this is............no doubt next time I see my type 2 nurse at the end of September, she will take great delight in telling me, I would love to be one step ahead of her!!!:D
Edit:- googled, I'm ruled out as I cannot run owing to my bad balance! caused by my deafness, I am the only person who can fall off a horse while the horse is stationary! my riding instructor was shocked / laughing, even the horse looked down at me as much to say what are you doing down there.
However 5km = 3.1 miles apporx. I currently walk 2 miles in 27 mins so this will do me for now.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

It's just an interval based running programme from the NHS. You can download the podcasts from iTunes. It may also be available to download direct from NHS website.
I just start the podcast and the treadmill at the same time and do as the lady says lol. Week one is a 5 minute brisk walk followed by 20 minutes alternating 1 minute jogs with 90 second walks. Finish with another 5 minute cooldown walk. At the speed I walk/jog it's about 3 km in half an hour. I enjoy doing it, but there's no way I could progress one week at a time.
Edit - Just saw your reply, sometimes I think that it's not a bad thing to be unable to jog with the sore shins and knees I've been having. Although I'm not doing too badly for a big lassSmashed through my weightloss target. Looking at 120lbs+ loss. BMI over 40 down to 20.5. ooooh Siren I am going to look into that NHS interval running programme as that could be quite good for me I think
Not been able to weigh in yet (usually weigh in on Monday first thing) as am on holiday this week and won't be back till late Friday night. Am trying really hard not to be too naughty but without being a complete diet bore for the whole week. It is difficult not indulging in fish shop chips when holidaying at the seaside!
For those using My Fitness Pal feel free to add me as a friend - I am yummymummy52 would be good to have some more friends on there.
Keep up the good work everyone - am looking forward to being able to give my all once I get back off holiday! One day Rodney we'll be millionaires£2020 in 2020 - Running Total £170 -
I love my fitness pal, esp as I have the app on my Blackberry too; means I can update as I go! Been left with around 120 cals last night and tonight, but I'm not feeling hungry. Its given me a guide of 1200 ish cals per day to loose 7lbs. Plus i'm going out my way to walk at lunch time, use my wii etc
Not done a weigh in yet, will be leaving that till Monday, a week since I started.

Well, i've lost 2lbs this week. I'm pleased with it but this morning i've had some passport photos done and i look so awful in them. It's left me feeling really depressed - i wish i could just get all the weight off in one go. It's such a long, hard slog.0

Well, I'm not very happy
I've been really, really good for over a week and haven't lost anything at all! Not only have I not lost any actual weight but my clothes are still just as tight (need to get a tape measure to take proper measurements). Makes me feel like whats the point in being so good and missing out on all the nice foods I'd usually be scoffing if I don't even lose any weight
Maybe I need to exercise more, but I just haven't been very motivated
Sounds like everyone is doing well
ItchyFeet, don't be disheartened by your passport photos, it's difficult to get a good passport picture, maybe you could go back and try again?0 -
Weighed myself early, couldn't take not knowing...and I'm now 9st exactly! Really pleased as I've had a really bad cold the last few days and havent done any exercise in 2 days. I'm going to try to do some today before I go to work.0

weighed in this morning, and i've lost 1lb which i'm really pleased with as i haven't been amazing with my diet and really need to start writing everything down as i know realistically that's the only way i ever lose weight.0
