And, of course, it's not a FINE, it's an unenforceable invoice. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

And of course there is no loss as its your parking spot, so it would never go any further because quite obviously it's a penalty , and a private company cannot issue penalties for parking unless acting for a council. Which they are not ! So the advice is to ignore completely.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
EDITED FOR NEW READERS (2016)
DO NOT EVEN CONTINUE READING - THIS IS A 2011/2014 THREAD - IT IS OUT OF DATE IN ADVICE.
More importantly if you have a UKCPS new PCN now, they are banned from getting DVLA data so do not appeal and no letters can be sent (at the time of writing this at the end of 2016).
DO NOT REPLY HERE, GO TO PAGE ONE AND READ THE NEWBIES THREAD AND IF YOU STILL HAVE QUESTIONS YOU WILL THEN BE ON PAGE ONE AND CAN START A NEW THREAD
This thread is ancient - use the forum jump on the right and read the current advice instead!

Pizza Hut customers were queued out on the pavement when we left, so I hope no one else got a ticket !
They don't put parking meters in probably because they would need to be licensed to do so....and they'll make more money from those who worryingly pay the extortion rate of £60! I had a similar experience in Dunfermline Retail Park (Scotland) where there was a very muddy illegible sign "2 hours". I got an "official overstay ticket" (car was parked there with guy playing games on his mobile while his mate ran around sticking paper tickets on cars). I was told by a police officer friend that these are "non enforceable".
I wrote and appealed and heard nothing since....over a year now. Just ignore the ticket is the best policy!!! :T0 -
Hi All,
Last week I received a parking notice from our favorite jokers CPS UK Ltd, the penalty was for parking in a disabled bay and not displaying a blue badge. I want to emphasis that I am carer and in this particular instance I was accompanying an autistic teenager to the Cinema (Cardiff bay red dragon center) with a co-worker. On parking the car, my client was very excitable and keen to get out the car and in the pursuing chaos, the blue badge slipped off the dash board.
So far I've ignored the notice and not made contact with the jokers (as advised time and time again). However should I be aware of anything else?
I.e. because I was parked in a disabled bay etc? will I be clamped if I returned to that car park?
and also am I right in saying that the contract is between the PPC (jokers) and the driver of the car and not the owner? and that the PPC need to prove who the driver of the car at the time is?
Additionally on the parking notice, it states " for not displaying a badge" rather than parking there fraudulently hence I haven't made contact pleading to their better nature, and finally the parking notice was issued at 18:05 which must of been a minute or so after parking in a car park that was practically empty, so I'm assuming that the Vulture that issued the ticket had watch myself and my colleague struggling to get our client out of the car and into the Center - you know who you are, shame on you!
I'll appreciate all your help and advice on the matter, cheers!0 -
Blue Badges don't mean anything on private land, as long as you or your passengers is classed as having a disability under the equalities act 2010 then you have a right to part in a disabled bay.
The vultures like to hide around the disabled bays (and also the parent + kiddie bays), waiting to pounce as it's easy invoices. Ignore CPS, if they do try and do court you can sue the landowner for harassment under the equalities act (and probably get a nice amount out of it).0 -
Thanks for response, its very comforting. I'll look forward to the usual bumpf that I can expect to receive in the post!0

I have browsed the threads on this forum having been issued with a "parking ticket" yesterday at which I am extremely annoyed. I HAD ALLEGEDLY PARKED IN A YELLOW BOX SECTION, which was not clearly marked due to the snow, ice, wet and poorly lit conditions.
I am a little confused as to the correct course of action to take and would be grateful if anyone could please help as the last thing I want is a court summons or bailiffs turning up at my door.
Any assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards0 -
If it's a private ticket than just ignore it, it's not your fault that the car-park wasn't swept of snow in order to see the lines painted on the ground. If they did do court they would be laughed straight back out.0

Private parking tickets are a scam that :
IMPERSONATES AUTHORITY
If you do ANYTHING other than completely ignore them you are falling for the scam and are been fooled by the impersonation.
These are unenforceable invitations to pay invoices and have no legal standing or authority to charge you a penalty or fine.
The letters and tickets are worded to fool the foolish in to thinking they are dealing with something "SERIOUS"
You are not, they are fake impersonations and you should treat them no differently than any other flyer left on your window about earning £100 an hour part time and treat any letters they send no differently than letters telling you you have won the Canadian lottery ?
