DO NOT EVEN CONTINUE READING - THIS IS A 2011/2014 THREAD - IT IS OUT OF DATE IN ADVICE.
More importantly if you have a UKCPS new PCN now, they are banned from getting DVLA data so do not appeal and no letters can be sent (at the time of writing this at the end of 2016).
DO NOT REPLY HERE, GO TO PAGE ONE AND READ THE NEWBIES THREAD AND IF YOU STILL HAVE QUESTIONS YOU WILL THEN BE ON PAGE ONE AND CAN START A NEW THREAD
This thread is ancient - use the forum jump on the right and read the current advice instead!

Hey all, newly here and up at stupid o'clock because of receiving parking ticket whilst I was out having a meal last night. I parked in the carpark of vue cinema nearest to entrance and could see nothing to state that I could not park there, it was very dark. On returning I had a ticket and when I walked round carpark I found a navy sign, not the best colour for reading in the dark I might add which stated that it was for contractual parking only, my first thought was to appeal as there was no clear signage and I'm not from the area but from what is state on here iv just to sit back and let them roll?
Cheers0 -
Step one is to do nothing until you receive something in the post. Many PPCs are currently banned from the DVLA, so the only way they can get your address is by you appealing.
If you do get something in the post, come back here and we will teach you how to make the PPC roll over and beg by wording your next letter to them carefully.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
Who are the scammers involved? if its any of the list in my signature below they are banned at the moment so don't contact them. The advice of ignore if its your vehicle is a tried and tested method of dealing with private parking scammers.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Out of the blue, received a letter from UKCPS (seems to be professional looking) states I have ignored request to pay fine of £60.00 issued for parking out of a designated bay. I have not had any ticket put on my car on the said date and did not know I had parked outside a bay ever. What should I do I am scared just to ignore the letter but I also dont have £100.00 which is what they are now asking for. Will UKCPS be able to supply me with a photo of the ticket being put on my car does anyone know.....scared and worried about further increases in the fine and possible court action (although the letter does not say anything about court action yet).0

Ignore them, don't appeal as its pointless as it will be turned down automatically, the fake ticket is exactly that fake !Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

Hi taffy056 - I really really want to ignore it but really scared what might happen if they persue me. I honestly did not have anything on my windscreen, it was dark when I parked and did not see any parking bay issues. Never been to the area before but there was plenty of parking so I just parked in first available. If the ticket was on my car when I returned to the car, I would have had chance to look around the car and check if I was correctly in the bay however now I cant do this. Could this be a scam to make me pay or will they have taken a picture of my car in the bay to prove it ?0 -
