Don't forget to keep an eye on the matrix Mr B. Our financial challenges start this month, so you need to get Mrs B on board and give them a go.

Mr B - way to go.

Re the online shopping and quidco, if you sign up to mysupermaket via Quidco there is cashback for that (£5 or so), and then most of the big supermarkets do cashback and big discounts off your first online grocery order.

And another bit of potential moneyearning - just sent messages to a couple of contacts to put out some feelers for any additional evening work. Will be checking out the matrix and mysupermarket as suggested and still have yet to decide on the insurance quotes and take on the other utilities. Once all this done I will bite the bullet and put the SOA up.

Off to do some WiiFitting for a bit.

Watch the running/jogging bit. If you are not kidding about your weight you m ay be too heavy to run. The good news is that walking is as good - in fact better in some circumstances.

As to WiiFit, please remember that it is a game and not training. I suppose the things worth doing on Wii are the yoga, balance and press up and stuff. Aerobic exercise is not effective (have you seen how children 'run' by moving their arm?).

Another morning, another run - this time 3k - got a bit dodgy after 2k as I'd forgotten Chicago's "If you leave me now" was still on the playlist and I started running as if I had a catheter attached (ie, not very well). But I got there, proving I am not too fat to run, and according to my thoroughly unreliable Wii Fit I am now down to 23stone 2. Which is very cool cos this time last week I wasn't.

    To be done.
    - finalise insurance for Mrs B's car
    - finalise insurance for Mr B's car
    - get quote for house insurance
    - check energy consumption and tarriffs
    - switch suppliers if necessary
    - talk to talktalk
    - phone vodafone
    - (something fruit related) to orange
    - talk to RAC
    - find a good car boot sale for late October
    - find somewhere to sell record collection
    - look for extra employment (weekends/evenings)
    - use Quidco for everything
    - find out about mysupermarket.com
    - post up SOA

just found your diary and loving it, i really think you are going to make it, and as others have said, it is the hare and the tortoise for both debt and weight, just keep at it, small baby steps in the right direction will eventually get you there - with the occasional big thing, you will be surprised at how easy it can be to get money back, money off and spend less.....
