Well done :T:T:TI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Am quite fancying taking up shed tetris as a wholesome hobby...perchance if I lurk about long enough on these boards then I might be able to stash away enough loose change in a sealed pot to be able to buy myself a shed of my own
Well, a girl can dream ! x

Trying to get motivated on this ebay thing - not quite there yet - setting up a spreadsheet with title/artist/format and any completed/buy it now prices I have found for the same product on ebay. Put in 15 of my discs and so far have a value of £548! so I really know I need to get myself into gear. Am still floundering on the postage problem - am going to have to bite the bullet and invest in some proper cardboard packets I think, if people are prepared to pay over £80 for a 7" single then the least I can do is spend a couple of quid on the postage....
Alcoholfree day today (boo!) and loads of work to do tomorrow (double boo) - will log off MSE and ebay and put the vinyl sale on hold for a week methinks. Am pondering going the extra k tomorrow and seeing if the Bloater legs can manage a 6k stretch. Off to walkjogrun to plan one now...2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Well, I agree on the postage thing, its worth paying out. I *do* think you might look at completed listings, tho, and see whats actually *sold* at those prices - there's a book I have on amazon that I put on at the lowest price on there - £100. Mine was signed, and I threw in a couple of comics related to the author as well - the others weren't collectible, just bog standard printed books. Eventually, I've lowered it to £35 - the other copy is still on at £153!!! Weird.
Still, I'm loving your solution to shed tetristhats what really matters.

I've noticed this but with games. My OH sold a Kung Fu Panda game with no caes or manual for nearly £10 but others with the case, the other game (was meant to be a double pack with Indiana Jones Lego game) and manual were barely selling! Vile run today - from the off I just could not get into it whatsoever, the intense dumbbell exercises I unwisely did last night didn't help my swing and this affected my speed massively, by the time "Mr Blue Sky" finished the tarmac man's pickup was nowhere in sight and everything was a plod. Approaching the apex of the hill I was coughing like the 40-a-day smoker I used to be back in another lifetime and then turned the corning, head lolling and spluttering to be faced with a sight that may well change my exercise routine forever. I crossed paths with a runner. The same height as me and likely the same age. And there the comparasion ends - he was all upright, head high, nose pointy all skinny pigeon like dressed in a white vest, white shorts and some white trainers - I can be sure of this because he looked like he was going to wave at me in some show of running camaraderie so I put on a real head roll which meant I got a good view of 360degrees (and I imagine looked like I was going to have a fit). He ran past. I was going to stop at that point, not only cos I was coughing up all manner of crap, or that my arms were going to fall off, but because of the fear that if I carry on with my regime one day I might look like him - all hairshirted worthy pious and skinny - like a bag of oversized twiglets. The only thing that kept me going was the thought in my oversized Ben Sherman t-shirt, long shorts, thermal socks, discount trainers and an mp3 player that cost 12quid - I do not fit the profile of a runner. I am not one of them. I never can be.
Snowballing yesterday wasn't quite how the script read, we lobbed a few tiny ones at some of the cards, but they weren't proper snowballs. Proper snowballs, as every schoolboy knows, always contain a nice surprise in the middle, whether it be phelgm or a rock. Next month my snowball is gonna be armed dangerous and lethal.
Another hellish part of doing the run late is when I come back I walk right into the family who see spluttering wreck of a Dad, a sight they never usually see as they only wake after my weigh-in, rant on here and shower, when I then appear the model of composition and health. But cos today I didn't get back til 6.35am, Mrs B has quite justifiably been sitting on the couch whilst I've been typing this, and I don't write well with an audience - thankfully due to Sky multiroom the kids were transported into the front room for Disney whilst naked sweating me stood on the Wii scales of justice - I wouldn't wish that sight on anyone.
Oh, and thanks to McDonalds, Costa and some well meaning picnic eggs, my weight has gone back up to 22-08, BMI 38.44.
And we have to go to a farm shop today to buy a pumpkin.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Oh dear! Its hard to change your self image, isn't it :rotfl:
And it goes to show, actually - you can't take the changes for granted yet, sadly :grouphug:
Never mind - have some roasted pumpkin something or other, that'll be better than takeaway, and pretty damn scrummy all the same.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
You are a runner Mr B.
The man in white is also a runner.....and nowhere in the running manual does it say you have to become pompous and preened when running. Being a pious runner is optional.
Some days running feels really good. Other days it feels like someone has broken into your house while you were asleep and set your feet in concrete.
