But at least you manfully soldiered on and DIDN'T cave in and get something else. Rotten luck on having minestrone twice in one day. It isn't one of my favourites either. Good luck with the run tomorrow

Mine too............but only my homemade version - anything else looks and tastes like the contents of a washing up bowl at the end of a nasty washing up session :rotfl:

Managed to find half a packet of strawberry Strepsils and 2 Minestrone cup-a-soups. Came home to find soup of the day was also Minestrone. Minestrone would not be in my top 100 of soup types at the best of times. And these possibly aren't the best of times.

Minestrone and strawberry Strepsil is what I'd call a novel combination.

On the plus side, that's three Minestrones you'll never have to swallow again.

    Hope you're feeling better?

  • The streets were alive to the sound of the Bloater chugging his way through a careful 3k run this morning - although fairly convinced that the chest pains were indigestion prior to starting the run, I thought it best to not overdo myself. At the 2k mark the pains suddenly stopped as a furious wind was unleashed. I couldn't help but feel a bit bad for the man in the !!!!!! bungalow as his windows (as well as his blinds) were open, and once the stink made its way into the building it would (I presume) have upset his viewing pleasure. Almost knocked over a callow unshaved student who was busy taking pictures of the bench outside the estate agents. At 4.20 am. Something fishy going on there. He was also wearing a jumper which added to his potential badness in my eyes, and so I increased my stride and trundled home to find I am now weighing in at a much better 22-08 with a BMI down to 38.47. It almost erases the pain of Brighton being beaten by our arch-rivals Crystal Palace at home last night. Today will be tough at work.
  • Glad you cleared your blockage of trapped wind Mr B ;) Best to steer clear of the Minestrone, looks like your instincts were right there!
