Mr B after many years of being a civil servant I gave the job up and took on two part time jobs that I love. Neither pay that well but they suit my needs. I don't have any stress and never take my job home. Many of my friends have said that they wish they could change places with me as they have stressful jobs that are well paid but because of their debts they cannot leave.

When I left I did worry whether I was doing the right thing, and fifteen years later I can definitely say that I did. Yes I have had to cut back on luxuries but it is definitely worth it. So I say if you can manage changing jobs then seriously consider it.x

As the only person on earth who had their PPI claim rejected by the Ombudsman, you can imagine my surprise to find a shiny cheque for £300 in the post from my old buddies at CPP.

And I sold an item on ebay.

And the drink has run dry.

And we meal planned for a whole week, and I did the shopping which meant it was a joyless experience when the family unpacked upon my return because I just stuck to the list.

A few other jobs have caught my eye but I have put the ball back in the court of my current employer by informing them on what terms I would stay - I've basically asked if I can get on with what I do best without any of the management malarky. Am awaiting a response.

Exercise has been slack cos I have still been waking up shattered despite a series of early nights. But mindset is still positive. Yay me.

I got a CPP cheque too, Mr Bloater, after being the second person on earth to have had her PPI claim rejected, by the ombudsman, ALONG with her endowment claim.:(.

You have inspired me to fill in DH's CPP claim form for him. He is adamant that it wasn't miss-sold to him, but I am determined to prove him wrong. I do not want him to be the only person on earth who has not got any money back from this too :rotfl:.

    Quoted from Martin's CPP article:-

"They rejected me after I sent in my form"

Wow if that's you - you're the first person we've heard of. We know some who have been asked for more details, clarification or ID. Yet we've not heard of anyone who has actually had their claim rejected. If that's you please get in touch.

Sleep apnoea is what I have diagnosed myself with and it would answer a lot of questions. My appalling sleep, my awful snoring, my tiredness in the daytime and general bluriness. I am damned if I'm going to go down the route of getting one of those CPAP machines to be hooked up to every night, I'm going to go down the holistic route - throat exercises to strengthen the muscles and more importantly - weight loss, and plenty of it. No more beating around the bush or getting around to it sometimes. I am exercising for an hour tomorrow and as much as I can every day after. Job hunt is on hold for a week to get myself into a good routine. Will also take advantage of another (and perhaps the last seeing as they are changing the goalposts so dramatically) free listing weekend on ebay.

    All fired up!

  • It would probably be sensible to keep a sleep diary and record when you are experiencing the above symptoms, and take it along to the doctor in a week or two's time for a second opinion ;). Just my tuppence worth x.

Best guide would be Mrs B observations of how many times/if your breathing stops........weight loss will be the first recommendation. Speaking from experience.........
