Hello Mr Bloater. Just wanted to say thank you for an excellent thread. I've been reading it at work to pass the time. I work in a Tesco Travel Money in one of those little bureaus. Every so often this thread makes me laugh out loud like a mad man (obese ninja turtle :rotfl: ) and the kiosk line which queues in front of my box look at me like I have lost the plot.

Anyway, i'm only on page 92 so I can't hang around and accidentally read any spoilers. Thanks again and all the best.

So next time I'm in Tesco getting travel money & the queue is moving slowly, I can be rest assured that the guy looking at the PC screen isn't trying to sort out a problem, but is instead looking at a thread on a money-saving site.

I wasn't talking about the travel money queue. You can be assured that the person is not an employee of Tesco, but an employee of Travelex and is therefore unable to do anything about the Tesco kiosk queue and has a very limited list of 'allowed' websites which the person might be looking at to avoid going insane with boredom ;) If I have customers they are served professionally and the money saving site etc is only used when I have nothing else to do :)

Hey ho! Back again with a vengeance - and with a darn good reason for not reporting in for the last few days or so. At work we had the visit from those whose name dare not be uttered and whilst gruelling, it seems we have come out of it pretty much on top - I personally got some very good feedback which has made me feel much more settled and generally everything is good. Just got back from a weekend visiting the folks (due to Mrs B's academic commitments - she's at level 8 you know-which I think makes her some kind of warlock and hence about 7 levels smarter than me) in a land where SCART cables have to be swopped over, internet is accessed using dialup and there is no mobile reception. I also forgot to pack any useful clothes meaning I was thankful that my mum had for some reason kept hold of a black leather jacket I used to wear a few lifetimes ago. I certainly was a trendsetter trudging around the city centre - am can confidently predict that the next time we visit there will be plenty of folk sporting the 90s Central European Taxi Driver look. Have no excuses to not jump back on the horse of moneysaving and fitness tomorrow - and hopefully still have enough month left to eclipse December's 100km total. But now, at 3.05 Sunday afternoon, I am starting my Friday night. Pass the corkscrew!

I wish they would adopt a similar approach here.i.e the nameless drop in at short notice. We have known about their imminent ( not ) arrival since Sept:eek: Still waiting for final yes we are on the way- we understand that will be 'before Easter'.Meanwhile everybody( everybody else that is - I try not to get too overwhelmed by it:D)have frazzled nerves. I guess when the time comes I will be a little more on edge but until then.................
