Hi Mr B, really sorry to hear about the ebay sale that cost you money in the long run........I now keep a float in my Paypal a/c as I'm paranoid about ebay fees and also you never know when you may have to refund someone. So even if I think I really need the money, I don't take all of it out. That way I know the fees will always come out of the Paypal balance and won't touch my bank a/c.£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

No search party required - I haven't gone anywhere. Just on day 12 of not drinking - it's great for my health and I have plenty more energy to play GTA 5.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

LOL glad to hear you're still around MrB. Hope the running's going ok too? I've just started back jogging after literally years avoiding it! My sporty mate has told me to only run every second day to give my body time to recover, rather than forcing myself to go every morning like I used to, then giving up after a few months. WOW, what a difference! It's getting much easier already and I don't dread putting on my trainers half as much as I used to :T0

The end of September / start of October brought back lots of memories of how bad things were 12 months ago and I have to keep reminding myself that it's all a whole lot better now. But I am in need of a list. Yes, a list will help me out.
Job 1 (main one).
Going very well - am part of the furniture there now, and raised my head above the parapet this evening by letting the big boss now that I am VERY interested in deputizing for a membership of the leadership team who is due to go on maternity leave at Christmas. Could this be the start of me becoming a bona fide member of the establishment? Who knows? Of course if big boss turns around and says it is not a good idea then I guess I will have to cast my net elsewhere. It's all a bit like playing poker. But I'd rather be staring promotion in the face instead of dismissal.
Job 1a (Saturday one)
Going well, nice to be talking about a different subject to my main one and has added another string to my bow. Working Saturdays is a bit of a shock to the system but I won't be arguing when the money starts coming in.
Job 1b (Evening one)
Yet to get this up and running but it should be happening sooner rather than later. Again it's a compromise between spending time with the kids and earning extra money and at the moment, we need the extra money and the kids won't even notice I'm not there one evening a week.
Job 2a (the May / June one)
Have been put on the list again for next year so that should involve another daytrip to Manchester (hopefully not on my son's birthday this year) and a whole lot of hours on the kitchen desk with copious mugs of tea.
Job 2b (the other May/June one)
The all-singing all-dancing cutting edge technology of online exam marking is somewhat tarnished by the fact they pay late, incorrectly and by cheque. Am still waiting for the last £144 to come my way.
Job 3 (Books, Kindle, Websites, Blogs, etc)
Nah. The muse never came back. Dead in the water.
Job 4 (Ebay, Boot Fairs, etc)
Them nice Ebay people offered me 200 free listings last weekend and I only managed to take them up on 6. The shed of despair is now the shed of shining hope and everything is nicely organised and so given a rainy day at the end of the month I should be able to get a whole lot of stuff on. And boot fairing may be not far off as one of those crazy summer extravagances I bought was a pasting table.
Job 5 (!!!!!!?)
Well I'm keeping an eye out for any work I can do over the Christmas / Easter breaks. Not that my mother-in-law's intended visit next April has anything to do with me looking for excuses to be out of the house...
Weight
Not brilliant. Buttons are starting to strain on my work shirts. And I had to ask a slender colleague to reverse my car out the other day cos I couldn't get into it due to an angrily-parked Skoda.
Exercise
Much needed as evidenced by the above. Joints are not creaking anymore and whatever knee and ankle issues I have had appear to have gone. Runs will happen again and also I think I will dust off the Wii Fit - it's not for the purists but it is significantly better than nothing.
Other stuff.
Always top of my list is to be a good dad/husband - think I'm keeping up the pace with that, but other stuff I need to remember is: resurrecting the dead-in-the-water PPI claim - may as well take it to one of the cowboys to see if they can breathe any life into the corpse; sending a strongly worded letter to my car manufacturer cos I'm still spitting fire at having to spend £550 just for going over a speedbump; spending less time on GTA 5/facebook and more time on here.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)
2014: Goodbye Bloater, Hello Boater (DFW)
2015: Got here by luck, intending to stay by judgement (MFW)
