  • Oooh hello! nice to have you back.

I'm debt free now by the way (that's a poke in the ribs) and going to the gym (another poke) and not drinking alcohol (yep, another!) :D

It seems your life is now on an even keel, trundelling along nicely. The shed is tidy, the E's are being bayed and the job is secure and family happy - all is well with the world.

Well hello Mr B.......wondered where you had been lurking.Keeping up with all those jobs I suppose. Angrily parked Skodas are the worst sort. Please do spend more time on here and less on GTA 5.....took me ages to work out what that was until I was was enlightened by one of my darling 5 year old charges who plays it on a regular basis:eek: and the Ed Psych 'cant really understand why' said 5 year olds behaviour is frankly bonkers ( technical term )!

I know you don't have any say over what the parents of your charges let them do but seriously, it is an R18 game. I wouldn't let my 12year old play it. Hell I would be pretty hacked off if my OH wanted to bring it in the house.

Am I just a stick in the mud about game restrictions then? I don't let mine see above their age films either. Which means they haven't seen the last two Harry Potter films yet...
My two are 12 and 9

Mr B, well done on setting yourself some objectives. I did wince when you mentioned about the new debt, but you do at least have a plan to sort it out (ie the loan finishing so that that payment can then go extra to the new card).

You are doing all these extra hours, is that because Mrs Bloater can't do more hours/is not in the sort of job where OT is available?

Keep on keeping on Mr B :T. Good to see things seem to be on an even keel, but please start pounding the streets again as I miss the excitement :p.

Shed of hope? Crikey - there's a turn up :T.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Good to see you back again, Mr.B. :hello:

Love the Shed of Hope; may it disgorge many high-earning Bay items! :D

Do worry for your joints though, with talk of resuming running - are you not keen on swimming?

Not a stick in the mud, just normal, I'd say. My son's nearly 15, I've let him have 16 games but not 18's. He's been stressing me about wanting Call of Duty for the last 2 yrs but I have selective deafness

'Struth! It really p###es me off that parents can be so utterly negligent & irresponsible with no penalties, yet if the school doesn't sort said child out & resolve all educational & behavioural problems (a virtually impossible task sometimes), they get mega stick...

Here at chez Granaries, games & films are checked personally & age limits respected within reason.

Certain 6-10 y-olds at our primary school are freely allowed to play GTA, Halo, Call of Duty etc., have a FB & Twitter account, choose their own bedtimes & watch any film they choose... Guess which ones have "issues"?
