Just popping in to thank St. Anthony: phone found in a cunning crevice way down the back of the sofa in the family room. This was after an early morning onslaught that has led to us having an immaculate lounge, porch and hallway. And thankfully before I embarked on the binraiding.

This November is going to be the best November ever. Is the mantra I am going to keep on repeating to myself. Hit a real slump the end of last month, only managed the 1 trundle - due to storms and general meh about things but am full of optimism today and intend to keep it that way as long as I can (or until my face cracks from all the grinning).
And here's some MSE things I have done today.
- Managed to get three bottles of wine (one of each) for under a tenner. Granted they look bad enough so I can only imagine what they taste like - but it's for the adults coming to my daughter's birthday party. Nothing but the best for my princess but nothing like the best for the grown-ups - if they want to get sloshed on quality wine they can do it at somebody else's party.
- Am going to attempt to give up the booze for November - this month has been the first month since January I have not had to go cap in hand to Mrs B to get some money to cover the bills that come out of my account - my first thought was to get a celebratory bottle of wine, my second and third thoughts were to stop the hell celebrating until I got something better to celebrate (like paying down the debts)
- Need to get the wheels in motion for Job 1b (the evening one), Job 1a (the Saturday one) is ticking along nicely, and whilst I didn't get what I was hoping for with Job 1 last week (the main one) there is at least 50% chance that I will get another step up the ladder soon.
- The Shed of Hope is organised and navigable. I could have three giant tubs of ebayable stuff listed before the day is out to take advantage of the free listing thing going on. Or even better, I could take the laptop out to the shed and do all the listings from there thus avoiding one of my common excuses for not listing anything because it will mess the house up. Wow, lightbulb moment ahoy.

We where not married in this country and my OH took his vows in a foreign language he really didnt have a grasp of - I translated afterwards. Loosely these were: 1 We agreed to live together ! 2. We agreed to bring up any children ( and there was room for 8 children to be registered in the official paperwork ) in a moral household and 3. We shared 'the' money:D..............

History is being made here as I type, as this message is being sent from the notorious S.H.E.D. I am kinda boxed in but thankfully claustrophobia is not on my list of problems. Just a quick clear-up for the benefit of Igamogam - it's not that we have 'my money' and 'her money' - it's just that all the DDs were set up pre-crash and obviously due to the pay cut in January I didn't have enough slack - it's just a chauvinistic trait of mine that I don't like having to ask for money - and once again now I don't have to (does celebratory jig).
(learns a painful lesson about the folly of jigging in a shed with protuding rusty hooks.)2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Thanks for clearing that up Mr B.......erumm I think.........just pointing out the error of my OH ways for agreeing to get married in a foreign language;)

What's quite interesting reading through your thread in one go is that you have clearly defined cycles for both money and exercise. You're really motivated, achieve a lot, it fades out, you say 'never mind', you end up back at square one.
I think you need to find a way to break the cycle (or make it less extreme) or it's just going to go round and round forever...138 pages of cycles so far!0
