Neatly sidestepping custardy's scary fitness plans I decided to take on board ani26's advice and now more appreciate the wife's bottle of rose as I had it whilst watching the Singapore Grand Prix.

90 seconds to do 25 push ups  :T.

okay I timed it tonight)though I stress its not about fastest is best!)

3 minutes 12 all in. thats inclusive of changing position, moving the mat etc
the push up component took just over 30 seconds
thats not a monster time as i was at the gym doing Olympic weights this morning,so im far from fresh!
i do it in order of push up,crunch, dorsal raise and then squats
I do the push ups first as they are usually the hardest, due to my shoulder op

    Mr B,consider yourself finger wagged!
  • Still just about keeping my head despite the snipers closing in. Should get some more news this week about how much life is left in the dead horse. Am resorting to excessive metaphor. Minefields, shellshocked, battle weary. Trenchfoot even. Had better weeks that's for sure. Running, weight loss, dorsal fins? - forget it. Wallowing like a beached whale. Hope to get out for a run sometime soon.

  • Well, this morning has started off more positively - jumped gazelle-like onto the scales to find myself at 21st 7 - so forget the Eat Less Move More movement, PAID (Panic About Impending Dismissal) is the new weight loss craze to hit London. And also found out that I'm not morbidly obese anymore. Just obese. Nice to lose the morbid part.

Glad that you're only obese now. Way to go!

    :T Well done Mr B :T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

So glad you are no longer morbid! Stress hormones and the worry cells obviously burn up more calories than we thought - I have lost almost half a stone in 2 weeks with absolutely no effort at all, other than work carp...............

  • And though the end was no surprise, it was still a shock. Thanks to the intervention of luck and guardian angels I was able to offer a solution which (fingers crossed) will see me leave at the end of December. Am still muddy at the moment - but think that as time goes on it will get clearer and I'll realise it was the best thing available. I was cornered, and fighing back would have made it worse in this instance. And so an exciting new chapter will begin - and I have to embrace the unknown like a longlost friend.
