301k in debt and morbidly obese - things aren't great!

The wine-fuelled euphoria and ambition of yesterday was replaced today with a gnawing dread. And what irks me the most is that this is a weekend when we should be celebrating - Mrs B has had fantastic news at work and all it's done has put my situation into grim irony. I am feeling absolutely physically sick at the moment just thinking about it all. I guess the problem we have is that there are no savings, no slush fund we can use to support ourselves whilst I attempt to get things up and running. Had an appalling day food-wise and done naff all exercise so that's another thing to beat myself up about. I keep thinking how it got to this stage, but have to realise that with the goons running the show at the moment someone like me stood no chance of hanging on forever. I need clarity of thought, meditation and wise words but I'll likely end up nicking the wife's wine again instead.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

I am sure it will do you some good too, put all thoughts of work out of your head for a day or two if possible and concentrate on something fun, you never know the answer might just pop up and surprise you when you least expect it.Been here for a long time and don't often post

Little Bloaters decided to get up at 5 so my planned run this morning was also ambushed. Oh well. Things will get a lot clearer this week - might get the lethal injection, might get a stay of execution, and should also find out what surprises lay in store in my pay packet as it's the first one under the new ownership. Given the current state of things I am pretty much expecting it to be an unpleasant surprise. And two moments of gallows humour - having replaced the bottle of rose I had annexed from Mrs B on Friday night, she informs me this morning that she no longer likes rose - so all last night I sat sad and alone when I could have been kept company by the bottle I thought I better not drink. Not a major deal though. However, due to Mrs B's early night yesterday she has only relayed to me this morning the next bombshell to hit the home. Her mother intends visiting at Christmas. For three weeks. Ho ho ho.2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Mr B,I' m gonna come in with the tough love here
I held off before as I saw you terrible work news
however, the work situation is something in addition to your current body status
I don't think running is the best solution for you. its too easy to be circumvented by family life etc
Going for a run is great,i wish I could but i have a foot injury that means its not gonna happen
In some ways I am in a similar situation with work, career and body. admittedly i have the 'benefit' of an underlying fitness hindered by injuries. Though Ive put on weight due to a run of bad luck on the injury front and if im honest, sitting feeling sorry for myself and comfort/lazy eating.
So my idea for you. if you can run, great
however how about every day you do some bodyweight exercises
A friend of a friend set up the 10,000 rep challenge(my friend runs the 100 rep FB site)
dont know if this link will work for you

basically you do
25 push ups
25 dorsal raises
25 crunches
25 squats
every day.
you can do them at once, through the day,or whatever you want
If you have to do the push ups on your knees, fine!
you will see improvements. if you start today that gives you 9300 reps by Christmas
I know its not easy. I function on less than 5 hours sleep a day these days. I get up at 1/2am to get to the gym before work.
trust me theres plenty of days I could pack it in!
diet. try you best. lets be honest. you have a lot on,plus family etc on top. No point me preaching about living on alfalfa and mung beans.
perhaps try and be good all week and let loose on the weekend if you need those treats?0 -

custardy, I like your idea. As soon as I can google dorsal raise I am going to try it. Are the rep amounts suitable for a woman?Mortgage: £280,752/ £262,515.84

yeah for sure. makes no difference with these type of exercices
I know many women seem to struggle with push ups(dont know if its to do with chest muscle make up)
just do them on your knees if need be
if you look on the FB page you will see a mix of gender/ages.
i know 100 sounds a lot. it really isnt
The dorsal raise is a weird one when you first do it0 -
I would love my mum to be with us for Christmas.................:(Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
