Relist him - you know sometimes nothing happens on the first listing then you get a storm of interest. I can't remember if you had the word 'retro' in the title but it might help?

    Better luck next time. :)

  • I agree relist! There was some interest before you told your MSE fanclub about him! I've finally got an bid on some Thomas books which have been on (and off) since before Christmas...Is there any retro 80's type fests coming up in your area? Us over 40's all love to remember our youth!!

Gutted. Adam let me down bigtime. 6 watchers - probably all of whom were from here, and 0 bids. Really thought I'd hit the big time but have come crashing back down to earth.

Did you mention looking at PPI from past - just popping in to say we had confirmation today that they will pay us well over £4K - all I did was fill in an on line form with the vaguest of details, as its well over the 6 year limit, and popped the claim in the post - worth the price of a stamp I say:D

How are things going MrB? I agree with Igamogam you should send off about your PPI sharpish. If anything that could be a little buffer held in an ISA should your budgeting ever go seriously awry again...

Just trying to re-adapt to life without the MIL around. Adam's continued presense isn't helping and he'll likely be relisted with a 99p starting price very soon. Arthritus has reared its ugly head (knee) once again which is also kinda killing my evenings, been splayed out like a basking shark on the sofa the last three nights. And managed to incur a parking fine so another £55 down the swanney. It's all fun here! Am not pursuing PPI - whatever the amount I paid on a 5grand loan eight years ago would in no way compensate me for the potential calling in of my fat overdraft, chunky loan and bloated mortgage. My bank have me by the short and curlies and so I will not attempt to enrage the beast. Am hoping to do a flurry of relisting soon and get my head round whether to set up a new challenge - the two grand / two stone / four months one seemed to inspire quite a few people (sadly not myself) so I need to get my thinking hat on. I have also learnt that when selling printer ink cartridges on eBay - one should put the expiry date on the description otherwise one gets swamped by nerdy inkspotters demanding code numbers. I refused to answer out of principle and likely lost a number of sales due to my stroppiness.

Why do you think the bank will come after you? Re claim your PPI its yours and not the banks money. We too are held by the short and curlies but no way are they going to call in the overdraft CC debt etc...............just do it - the cost of a stamp even an expensive stamp next week has to be worth it

Yes to a new Challenge MrB - I will be posting my efforts on 2 stone 2k thread tomorrow as I promised myself:)

Just stopping by out of lurkdom to say that if you google "Bearded Theory festival", the new headliner might help with shifting the Adam merchandise:beer:

    Good luck!

  • new to your thread MrB. your so funny :D

i too feel your pain on the ebay front. trying to sell some things and then getting excited when 20 people are watching it to only be totally let down by the watchers....obviously just taunting me of a "hmm maybe".

i also did the music magpie thing, and its such a pain!! i waited 2 weeks for the stupid cheque! for the grand total of £7.01. i got TONNES with that.
    701 penny sweets.
well, not even penny sweets are they anymore. more like 10p sweets.

I think watchers can also be people who have the same thing to sell and want to see what it seels for.

Is it a valid parking ticket? So many of them are unenforceable if you check on the motoring forum.
