poor Mr B is still a newbie, you shouldn't be teasing him :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Actually, he's really good at teasing himself ... so, on 2nd thoughts - tease away :j:j:j
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I was teasing myself as well, i know what i am like..remember how i nearly cried getting rid of books on Amazon:o I know what i am like..adds hoarding records to list of hoarding..goes off looking for hard turnip to berate myself with:eek::rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Great savings on the car insurance and who'd have thought that people will pay that much for vinyl..perhaps I can convince DH to sell his0

Anyhow, will soon be changing my username to St. Bloater at this rate - 4th day on the spin of serious exercise. Again, to anyone out there reading thinking "yeah yeah, it's all very well for him, but I couldn't do it" - you could, and you could start loving it. I have abhorred taking part in sport throughout my life - I was always the last one picked for anything at school - this was due to a killer combination of my lack of physical prowess and tendency to walk home during PE lessons. In my adult life I've had numerous gym inductions and have never gone back after the first time because quite frankly, they ain't my kind of people in there, and whilst it might be sold as all happyclappy and everyone's welcome and nobody judges you know damn well that all the buffed bodies are laughing their well toned backsides off at the fat bloke in the corner struggling. But running/jogging/walking is different cos it is on your own terms and you can pick when and where.
Hey MrB!
I used to be the same and hated exercise, hated the gym, only enjoyed swimming, then even gave that up!
Now I love the gym, can't quite motivate myself to go out running yet tho! 5:30am - what is this?!
Still hasn't halped my weight issue although I will blame that on two men I know called Ben and Jerry!
Good luck with the weightloss, anything in the right direction no matter how small will do you good!

I actually cried when we sold our beloved Land Rover Defender and I sobbed as we left him behind. I will blame pregnancy hormones as I was about 30 weeks pregnant at the time :rotfl::rotfl:
I have fallen out with ebay because I am fed up of my good quality stuff literally going for 99p. If I list it for any more I find it doesn't sellWell done on your vinyl sales MrB and well done on the running :T

Totally agree about the gym Mr B....but carry on running all those k's and you'll soon be looking a lot more toned and buff yourself...great and inspiring stuff, keep it up :T'Forget injuries, never forget kindnesses' - Confucious0

Vinyl sales have hit a couple of stumbling blocks. Once I'd made the decision to sell my collection (will start with the 7"s, then move onto the cassettes and then hit the motherlode with the 12"s and LPs) I thought I may as well go the whole hog and put 100 items from Midnight tonight on as its free listing weekend, but found myself filling out boxes then noticing little monetary amounts next to them - this free lunch certainly don't come with any free plates or cutlery, and the stupid site won't let me upload - I'm supposed to link to an image on a server (whats that all about?) - and in the battle of hassle vs. reward, hassle won out this time and I'm not going to spend the next 48 hours listing my stuff.
Especially since I've just learnt from reading the terms and conditions that anything listed at a starting price of 99p or below is free from insertion fees at any time of the month anyway - even the stuff that appears to be worth £80 I would put at a low starting price just cos it'll get more people interested and likely result in a higher final price anyway. So I'm going to leisurely list a few once I've got to grips with it and not have the mad dash I thought I would.
The moneysaving doctrine is being followed in the Bloater home quite passionately at the moment, Mrs B in extreme mode managed to knock a few quid off the price of a new picture frame this morning from the terrified store owner for no other reason other than it looked like it had some imperfections on the side. As far as I'm concerned the thing was in the shabby chic style anyway and was meant to look like that but I wasn't going to argue.
We also went and done a recalculation of all the debts / cards / loans / mortgage now that this months payments have gone out - obviously its a false position cos interest on the debt and this months spending has yet to go on but its amazing what it does for the spirit to see a total that was 301k plummet down (however fleetingly) to a touch over 298k.
Tonight has been assigned the monthly takeaway night and much time has been spent plugging various voucher codes in to see whats the best deal we can get. This moneysaving is taking over our lives (in a positive way).2011: 301k in debt and morbidly obese (DFW)

Weight gone down again to 23stone 1, getting below the 23stone barrier would be a great psychological boost, and the thought of having to fess up on here that I'd gone above it should be enough to stop me stuffing my face with Oreos. Actually the taste of Oreos is enough to stop me stuffing my face but you get my drift.
.
Best thing for Ore*s is to bash the heck out of them and use for a base for Key Lime Pie ( Hairy Bikers) Treat yourself when you blast through the 23 st barrier. Then you will have to run a little further to work it off though:rotfl:
Eb*y can be a bit of a PITA but have a go and if its free listing then put your records on for more than 99p - wont cost you anything if they dont sell. I find I sell more when items are listed at 4.99 - wierdBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Awww .... no hard turnips, now, its not that bad :kisses3:
Sorry Mr B, we're like this all the timeEspecially since I've just learnt from reading the terms and conditions that anything listed at a starting price of 99p or below is free from insertion fees at any time of the month anyway - even the stuff that appears to be worth £80 I would put at a low starting price just cos it'll get more people interested and likely result in a higher final price anyway. Listing a dozen things or so the first weekend is a good idea - maybe the quality stuff *does* only go for 99p or £2 or whatever if you list it at that price - a good tip is that when you're in your Seller Account, you can look at *closed* auctions - you can see what sold for how much, and what didn't sell. You might need a spreadsheet to understand it, but the info is all there.

It does take over, but it is in a good way - you can get to grips with doing things in the cheapest way very quickly, don't worry.
Have a lovely weekend.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Facing a dilemma this Friday evening and not one I'm particularly used to - can either spend the next hour doing some exercise (Wii Fit / Just Dance / Zumba, etc) or can spend an hour getting some listings ready for ebay - both will help towards the goal of moneysaving / weightloss but which do I prioritise. Normally the answer to what to do on a Friday night would have been answered by a bottle of wine and the Sky remote. I'm into this new way of thinking so much that it is really bugging me that I could be doing something to earn money (ie, flog my vinyl collection) and I'm not yet doing it. Even dug out my premium bonds and put my customer number in the checker website in case anything came up but it didn't.
Am thinking that exercise should win out, I very much enjoyed our takeaway and whilst most of it is still in the fridge foiled up ready for tomorrow's big day out, I don't want to be standing on the scales of doom tomorrow thinking all my hard work has been undone. Plus I should imagine Friday night would be a plumb time for obssessive indie freaks looking for rare late 80s vinyl to be scouring ebay and I've already missed most of it so as long as I get the listings on for this time next week..
Off to the Wii it is.
