    Thanks SH.

He's off with ex-OH's dad (don't ask) for the day. They go out every Mon and Fri...maybe he's found his soulmate.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well dilemma for the day is do I ask (and reasonably expect) for my nightschool fees back?

First date I missed due to sickness then tutor phoned and said next two weeks were the trips to the Genealogical Society and Register House. There'd be a lecture from the place and instructions on how to access and use all the resources. So small boy and I treked to Edinburgh on Wednesday, found the place and were greeted by a room packed out. There were meant to be 12 slots and 27 folk turned up, Genealogical man went "Well you can stay but there's no seats and you'd be better some of you coming another day". No-one offer baldy heided wee woman a seat so small boy and I left.

That night tutor phoned to say it wasn't his fault so many of HIS pupils had turned up and the Register House trip was now overbooked too but we could go later in the year. Next classroom class is now 26th October and we won't have any idea about what's going on.

Ideas, thoughts, opinions??? It's a local council night-school class btw.

I would ask for a refund on the basis that they were poorly organised and they failed to make disability adjustments for you. Having cancer has got to be good for something!! How annoying for you tho to have trekked all that way for nothing. He should have arranged for people to have booked in for each trip and managed the numbers. If you do still want to carry on the course to keep your brain active - then you could still ask for a partial refund - or some kind of extra session that would enable you to catch up.

Have you got anything positive planned for today or the weekend?

We may be going to test drive a car - so I am a little excited about that. I think the weather fluctuating so much isn't helping anyone's mood. At the weekend it was 28 degrees by the time I walked home in what felt like a gale it was about 10 degrees minus the wind chill factor! It's hard even for us Brits to cope with that I think...

So exciting about a potential new car SH...hope it goes well.

Dad is now officially 84 and very very full of birthday dinner.

So happy grandad plus happy small boy and happy husky makes me one happy KJ.

On a very selfish note I'm very glad of the timing as I was able to scoff nice things too...what a difference feeling ok makes :T

    Hi KJ

Glad you are feeling better and have had some lovely food inside you. The simple things in life do make a difference

On the car - I can't switch off my MSE brain... I'm going how much APR? What do you get from that? We could probably get a better deal paying on a CC. I'm playing spot the hidden cost and OH is going only £X per month LOL.

I was in Mr As and I rang him up to see if he was still into a particular book - I asked him to check how much it was on Amazon and he did and it's a £1 cheaper there - so I didn't get it. He's gutted - he thinks the £1 extra was worth it to get it now rather than wait a week.... I suppose I could get on my high horse more if I hadn't spend a load of money on junk food... but we will move swiftly on LOL

I did exactly the same yesterday in Waterstones. Spotted some books and then came home and got via Amazon for a lot less. And that's my first Chrissie Pressies bought and coming next week.

Managed to walk to the chemist to get prescription today, in the drizzle and to the next town. Took me and the husky about 3/4 of an hour and she was able to run for 30 minutes of that. Shattered now but it was a good challenge to try and start feelining fitter again before the next dose hits.

Also worked out that as I have 2 chemos left -17th Oct and 7th Nov and I'm ill for about 10 days days, my unofficial End-of-Chemo date is 17th November. That's 39 days to go.

So I'm putting EoC countdown in sig...that's a doable number.

Also been looking at the Frog challenge on Old Style. I agree with Brian Tracey's book that if you tackle head-on the big, yucky tasks ... ie eat the frog, the other stuff is easier to handle. And having nice things to look forward to is a good incentive.

So my Frogs (in no particular size or order) so I don't forget are...

Do the accounts for shop (this is an African Bullfrog)
    Phone Council and cancel nightschool
    Put stuff in attic
Put advert for cleaner in paper
    Finish off insurance claim
Move all business DDs to business account (incl insurance)
Move Council payment to business account
    Clean up garden for winter
    Clean out car
Move from Blackberry to Iphone properly

My EoC 39 days are pretty evenly split (based on past experience) 20 day useless, 19 days useful. Frogs are for good days. Nothing beyond survival is expected on bleugh days...giving myself permission in writing on this site to that effect.

So next week, starting Monday is the African Bullfrog.
Smaller green froglet is insurance claim and tadpole is nightschool.

Get those 3 done and I'll be a happy frog swallower.

    Thanks Chev.

The sun is almost shining here and temperature definately warmer than yesterday. Small boy off having shower and then it's husky stomp time.

Bed is stripped and in the machine so need to re-make later...before bedtime (i will not put it off).

Finished another book this morning so concentration slowly returning. I know it'll vamoose again next week but knowing it comes back is a huge, huge weight off my mind.

Not sleeping very well, but again once I'm back to being more active that'll return. Having the countdown worked out is a real motivator, real light at the end of the tunnel.

Only need bread and milk from shops, so a low spend day...whey hey. :T

The important stuff is in the attic (in boxes with lids) and the other stuff is in the car for the charity shop tomorrow.

    Bye bye froggy

KJ - well done on the frog - always good to declutter

I've just got rid of 5 bags of girls clothing for OH to take to a friend of ours... Been waiting ages for him to go and see them! At least it clears out some space from my study.... and I know the little girl will be delighted!
