Fingers, toes everything crossed for Monday....
I dont think you are being morbid by assessing the situation, as I recall SB`s dad is not the nicest of people. You are only looking out for him... x0 -
SB's dad has never ever forgiven me for stopping the gravy train. We split up 12 years ago and his only conversation with me was 30 minutes 18 months ago to say he'd move in to care for our son.
That's not happening...dead or alive I've protected him through the POA and Will.
SB is growing into a fine man and will be happy and safe. He's grown and matured through this and handled it better than all the adult males around us. He knows exactly what to do and where to go should anything happen. He knows where everything is and how to access it.
My POA is written so that Lawyer friend will make any medical decisions if I become incapable. He knows when to stop treatment. I don't want SB to have to deal with that.
He's the best thing I've ever done :A:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
And you have done what is exactly right... made sure should the worse come to the worse (god forbid)you have provided for SB. You are a fantastic mum... I am sure you have a loving close relationship with your son. I can honestly say our two are the best thing we have ever done... They are a credit to themselves

Thanks guys.
I'm off to the flicks to see "Quartet" in a bit. Do love Maggie SMith.
Before that I'm showing SB how to make a cooked breakfast. He's very keen to understand this one.
Have a great relaxing day all.

I really fancy that film... I love Maggie Smith.... Let us know what it is like... Brought my mum The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel... my favourite film of last year.... Another fave of mine Judi Dench,.....:)x
I remember teaching my son to cook, especially after he tried to boil an egg without water.... lolHe was fairly young at the time though... honestly !!!!!

Quaret was really good. A very gentle British comedy/drama about a retirement home for musicians.
Cast was amazing...you really could play spot the star. Bits were laugh out loud because having dad living here is a tone-flat version of the chaos.
Star for me was Pauline Collin's bag which she had to have at all times. It's my emergency hospital bag which was packed and ready in car as they kept whipping me in without even a toothbrush. It's a good bag :rotfl::A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
I can only say that I so hope all goes well Monday.
If I ever have to deal with a quarter of what you do I hope I have the same dignity compassion & humour.
Positive positive vibes your way.
