Hi KJ - good luck with everything - as ever you're coping admirably.

Can see now why you had to have such a difficult talk with your DS - forewarned is forearmed! The ex and his parents sound awful.

And echoing the others - take care of yourself. :)

It never cease to amaze me how relatives can treat children so poorly. I guess they never think about how it looks to a child....:mad:

Well done on the 'chat'. I am guessing that SB must have had some inkling about his relatives already. It will be handy though that he will be over 18 should anything happen to you. NOT THAT IT WILL

Gosh guys, I'm so touched...thank you all so much.

Ham was nom nom...SB declared it the one of the best meals he's ever had and he's a boy that likes his grub. Soup is all done and grandads off with his plates. He's threatening to boil eggs tomorrow but the threat of "Use microwave = Sent to Care Home" has been reiterated. I've pointed out the location of the pots!

Chev - very worryingly the age of majority is 16 in Scotland - that gave me a lot of sleepless nights a couple of years ago because you can't put any form of guardianship in place. But we're beyond that now and between direct inheritance and portions in trust til he's 25, he'll be fine. The trust will protect him from the predators. He's a born saver and won't blow it...his mother's son I'm afraid.

FF - My phone's eaten your mobile number. Can you PM it and we can organise a meet up next Tuesday?

Onwards and upwards my friends, tomorrow will be a good one.

    Quiet day today.

Was taking SB for new trainers and boots for me but after much thought did it online to take advantage of 30% off in Evans and choice I can see at Sports Direct.

We still went out for a practice drive tho and an early dinner.

Grandad has cataract surgery tomorrow so I must remember to go and collect him. Somebody please double check I've got him...I keep forgetting and scaring myself.

On the unusual front, a guy I knew from my first ever job appeared on LinkedIn so I sent him a joiny up email. Thats developed into daily emails this week but what's really weird is I can remember so much about him and the trouble we got into 29 years ago (we were only there 6 months together). I can barely remember who I worked with this year...is that a sign of impending old age that I can recall school days more readily than whether or not I put pants on this morning?
