Thanks Taxi and Bast.
Resting up at the moment, not feeling too great but I know it'll past quite quickly. Seeing Consultant tomorrow, so with luck I'll have some news re dates which will be great.
Also went mad and stripped the bed...so want to crawl into bed but need to go and find fresh sheets and make it now. Seemed such a good idea at the time:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -

Hello all and thank you for your kind thoughts.
Surgeons have been seen (smacked hard and told to try harder) and a date agreed. Makes me sound very bossyand I am a bit, but it was too much when they confessed to not having read the notes and trying to weasel out of what was discussed by cutting me up twice. Anyway, it was a frank and open interchange and we're going for a one-hit solution - if things need to be re-thought on the day that's fine and I fully accept that. Re-thinking because you couldn't be bothered the first time isn't acceptable.
Bad bad Jenn...I know. They're good surgeons but carp at admin (keep telling myself this :rotfl:).

Hi KJ I'm with you on getting the surgeons to deal with things - especially if they didn't bother to read your notes in advance.
I went all the way to the hospital today - they should have done scans/xrays whatever - only to find right person not in and I have to go back !!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi DFW and SH.
It is so frustrating when the hospitals muck it up. I find it worrying that I've maybe got it horribly wrong interspersed by terror that they really don't care. So what if they have to open me up twice...ahem...it's a really big deal and I care a lot. Seems to be no thought that I'd like my life back and I need to earn some money.
And then I feel amazingly guilty because we're so lucky that we have this service and get such cutting edge care, it's just a pity they don't finish the job properly - does that make any sense? And then, I start thinking about older people or people who are afraid to speak up and question them. What happens to them, are they expected to cross their fingers and hope the chaps have done their homework?
Sorry - end of doom and gloom ... we have a date, for the right procedure, all will be well
Hope all goes better next time SH. Do you have a date yet?:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
