Looks like I'll be doing all the hospital stuff on my own, so will take in lots of books to pass the time. I am more scared about the op and dealing with sodding surgeons whilst doped up...but I'm sure all will be ok.
If you need a responsible adult (well, one who isn't chock full of morphine at least) I'm around and available and perfectly willing and able to tell surgeons to burger off if they're harrassing you.

Thanks FF...I truly appreciate that. We can discuss diversionary tactics tomorrow.

Does anyone else think it's creepy that the surgeon keeps trying to unbuttom my shirt rather than letting me do it by myself...really freaks me out!

Next time he does it, slap his hand and say "Not unless you buy me dinner first." That should sort him out :D

Hi - I think FF can be around to support you that sounds like a great plan. I had my partner and my sis around a lot at the hospital to support me as I hate them! I would feel it was creepy too

I did a written hospital plan before my stay and they were quite good with that.... A bit like a birth plan but related to my operation and stay - perhaps you could give that a try. If you pm me your emal address I'll happily send you mine....

Hi KJ, hope you have a nice time with FF tonight.

:rotfl::eek: at the surgeon - maybe he's just got into the habit of doing it for his patients and doesn't realise that it might seem a bit odd (creepy ) to you? I quite like FF's suggestion. :rotfl:

Hope things go well with both flats- why oh why are councils so slow when you need them to do something but so fast when they think you owe them money?!

Hope the meet went well. If a man I didn't know tried to unbutton my shirt, i would be slapping his hand away before i even had thought about it. I don't like that idea AT ALL. Like the comeback of buy me dinner first though! I guess he thought he was just being helpful, and saving time or something....

As there's no sign of madam I can only assume I bored her into a coma last night ;)

Lovely time had, much gossiping and giggling enjoyed. Plans made to bring grapes when she has her op, and I may have convinced her to buy a Kindle :o. I should come with some kind of MSE warning :o:o

    Hello all,

very very bad Fresian. Between suggesting I assault slightly pervy surgeons and buying Kindles, she is a terrible role model. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We had a grand time, over gesticulation on my part almost downed the poor waiter, but he was a trouper and carried on. Dinner was very diet conscious, we perused it, said "that's a lot of calories" and then ate it. :D:D:D

Small Boy was off today due to strikes. I was very bad, got him desperately needed trainers from Sports Direct (via internet) which were too tight. You're meant to return via post at your own expense, I took to shop said I'd lost receipt and could I exchange for another pair. They did it on the spot, very happy mummy. :j:j:j

HMRC sent me my SSP cheque which I'll bank tomorrow, so limited "real money" having to come out of company to pay me. :T:T:T

And FF is going to visit me in hospital...I personally think it's to get first hand shirt unbuttoning experience but may be to swap Kindle notes and nick grapes. Oh Kindle...I want, I need, I lust. :o:o:o

Oh and five emails from lawyer today...business must be slow :cool::cool:
