Hi Bast, shop is gone. Ebay fees, mailing costs and the feedback system made it impossible to make any sort of viable margins. But we tried which is the important point and I learned a lot.

Still have the flats, including a slightly crispy one. I've handed over most of the day to day running to a couple of companies to keep costs down but still need to do the books and sort out the insurance job...that requires some fairy oomph.

I'm really hacked off about having a contract I can't do due to the treatment but I suppose I need to learn to listen to my body and chill out a bit. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:(And I'm so good at that :rotfl:)

  • You'reeeeeee BACCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!! :D

It's lovely to have you back, I've recently returned myself. I need to stay on the straight and narrow and I find I neeeeed MSE for that motivation and focus. So here I am. Oh and I've had a baby.

So sorry to hear about the cancer. There are so many people that I know who are in the throes of treatment and I admire their courage and strength as chemo and RT is not an easy ride. So make sure you are taking care of yourself and resting up when you can. Lecture over!! ;)

Absolutely you tried and thats what its all about... I thought it was a great idea... but just starting out on ebay realise what you are saying about fees, feedback and mailing costs.... I wonder whether ebay has reached its peak tbh... Sorry to hear about the "crispy" flat and please do the chilling.... not good re contract on hold... My son is slightly on the aspergers syndrome, long story but we refused to get him statemented, went through some very very tough times. He went to uni and decided 1st year to give up, stuck with him, and more importantly he stuck with himself it was a horrendous time... He is now proud owner of a degree... I love him dearly he might not have many social graces, but he tries and he is ace and very very sweet lol...

GG - a gosling is fabby fabby news. You must be over the moon with the dish and spoon.

Bast - our sons sound very alike. I love small boy to bits and he brings me more joy than anyone could imagine. I bought him the boxed set of Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister the other day, he literally rolls off the couch laughing...there is no price to great for that.

Like us all, I need to keep on the straight and narrow, pennies wise. I do have enough to be out of work for the year but I need to be careful and make the money stretch to the period required. So my challenge for the next 12 months is to kick the s**t out of the tumour and enjoy life to the full on my good days.

That may take a couple of jars of Fairy Dust :j

Good day today. Did the shopping and made a batch of chicken and rice soup using yesterdays left over rice. I also plated up a big portion of sweet and sour plus rice last night and small boy can have that tonight while I'm out.

Off to a bookclub to discuss "Who Moved My Cheese" this evening. Re-read it in bed this morning, very quick read and marvelled at some of the inbuild self-confirming messages it uses. Very clever but trying to be less cynical and acknowledge that it does offer some good viewpoints about dealing with the inevitable change that life brings.

Huge shocker, heard rotor blades overhead and balanced on the end of the couch to try and see the helicopter (I'm 5 at heart) only to spot a big baldy head staring back. I must try and remember that I've no hair...I feel like the Little Britain bloke!

Off to see Dr to see if they have made me "accidentally" diabetic...that'll be a bit of a whoopsie then.

Hope everyone else's day has gone well.

    Hey there Kissjenn

Really sorry to hear about the tough time you've been having, separation, business problems, worries about your son - and now you're ill.

Well if anyone can get through this - you can. I remember from your last diary you have tremendous tenacity and positivity so you can and will get through the next year and beyond.
You identified that you need to take more care of you and perhaps learning to meditate (sounds lame I know) would aid your healing and give you the oomph you need? Hypno has links to downloads you can buy for a few £'s.

Could you employ a letting agent for a year to take care of your properties? - they are running at about 10% at the minute which is a small price to pay for some peace of mind (and in turn , body) and much needed stress relief....

Also, read Taxi's diary. She's been through BC too and is one inspirational lady. Take care, good luck at the Doc's and stay poz :) xxx

Hi Kissjenn what a wonderful sense of humour you have I do like a person who can make me chuckle.... Small boy has amazing taste in dvds... Yes Prime Minister has to be one of the most funniest, truthful, comedies out .. I loved it along with Yes Minister... I loved Sir Humprey.. and Nigel Hawthorne was a lovely actor.. Take care of yourself...x
  • KJ you have a brilliant sense of humour and you always brighten my day.

Take it easy. Put your feet up. You owe it to yourself.
