SB, Grandad and I have all been suffering from the bleughs today.

Did ventured out for a small walk with Husky but have returned home, popped jammies on and popped some more sleepitime pills.

I need to be in fine fettle tomorrow, lots to do,

    Kitten sat on last response.

We've been feeling a bit off today so had some sleeping tablets and off to bed.

Hoping to wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed tomorrow.

    xx

I'm fine on boats - big boats not tiny sailing skiffs that try to kill me. Trains and planes or driving. Buses are my nemesis. I'm sure one of the rings in Dante's Inferno has the number 26 bus route going round it.

Ditto - too many germs (and rules about only one dog permitted on each bus).

It would be great if CD could teach Misha some good habits. Nice full stop if we could take them up.

Yes that would make it more fun. :) Btw, has Misha got a harness?

I'm happy to drive. I suppose any dates, if it has to be winter for the lights, will involve taking a punt on weather.

I do remember Cheery Daffs heading up there one Christmas to do some house sitting, and the shenanigans were absolutely epic - trains snowed in, trains pulled out, ferries full, ferries cancelled, it was mayhem. Made a brilliant story at the time tho! Just saying

Sooo... Drive a 4x4. Be open-ended on time the trip might take. Pack thermals, snow shovel and emergency supplies [including plenty of tablet - am salivating just thinking about this treat! :D)?

    How's the flat procurement going?

Not great. DS has decided he's "not really a flat person" [:rotfl:] so is viewing houses (which puts another 100K+ on the price :(). His argument is that an extra lodger's rent would more than cover the increased mortgage payment, and leave us with a more valuable property to sell on once he graduates. Am thinking about it..

Hope you managed to sleep in the end, Kissjenn. :)

    Hello all.

I had 2 sleeping tablets yesterday one at 5 and another at 11 and dozed right through til 7am.

Was planned to work from home so I've done that and everythings pretty up to date. Throat's scratchy but I planning on another early night :T

Looks like trip ideas are coming together...I wonder what the long term forecast looks like.

Robin: Husky did have a harness but we were advised to get rid of it as she would pull more because she could use her chest and shoulder muscles. We did that about 4 years ago and she's been much better...excepted when she's excited and small, round, Scottish woman can out run Usain Bolt!!

  • Glad you're feeling better KJ .....

Ferry prices are a lot cheaper than I thought they'd be (one of the reasons I've never gone is I thought it would be really expensive :o)
