Ouch, surgery - well, as El said, good that you trust the surgeon, and he obviously likes you too
Barra - I flew to Barra, when I had proper money! "The only scheduled flight in the UK that changes the timetable according to the tides" - never forgotten it! Took a little ferry (motorised rowboat!) out to the castle, it was wonderful. Still not seen the Northern Lights tho ... next year.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Step 1 - Open Nellephant and Hippo to see how much we have.
Nellephant = £650. Hippo = £586.
Total to Spend = £1236.
I think Mrs. K. and I need a Nellie (the elephant) and a Henry (the hippo). When do you put coins in and what coins?2018 totals:

Hi KC.
I've mentioned Barra to SB and he seems up for it. One of things I'd like to do just for the sake of it.
My surgeon is fab, we got off to a rocky start but now we "get" each other. He gives me homework and gets me to research various things so I can choose what I want.
He's getting an MBE very soon. Far rather folks like him who make a massive difference in peoples lives got honoured than footballers or pop stars. And while I'm blowing his trumpet (not a euphemism :rotfl:) he does no private work, is co-founder of the Maggie's centres and fundraises tirelessly to give his patients the treatment and care he believes they deserve.
When I grow up I want to be just like him :A

Hi Alex,
I put in every £2 coin I get plus any £1's I can spare. And if I'm ever feeling flush I fold up a banknote really tight and pop it in. About a quarter of that was banknotes.
Never looked in it til today...so priority is mortgage by Christmas and some happy spends for me and SB out of the £1236.

Thank you. I like the idea of the £1 / £2 coins and already know how I'd spend the spare money if I'd got it.
