Hello all, thanks for the lovely and helpful replies.
I suddenly feel awake today. No idea how or why but my little brain is semi-switched on...it feels so good.
I've a friend coming around this afternoon which will be nice and I'm going to pop out to lunch with SB as his college is cancelled.
District Nurses have been and they're organising an evening call to see if I need more anti-sickness meds by injection. I feel overwhelmingly guilty that they're taking such amazing care of me...I'm sure there are a thousand peeps more deserving. However for once I'm going to grab the help with both hands and say thank you very much. Likewise, I've told them that I'd appreciate a wheelchair if they've one going free.
I am going to get better and these are simply steps on the road. This may take a bit of time though:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
So glad to hear you're feeling brighter...FEC used to knock me for 2 weeks followed by a decentish week...so hopefully you'll at least get that.
Lovely to hear the nurses are looking after you so well too which is nothing less than you deserve.
Hope you had a lovely lunch out x0 -
That's really good to know Taxi. I'm feeling very frustrated that I'm not bouncing back at all quickly...I'm of the school of chemo Monday, better Tuesday :j So far I'm the only imaginary pupil:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. This is the start of my 'good' week as well, only something had triggered my IBS today
I managed to walk 1.6 miles (in an hour!)yesterday. Got an app to measure my distances and I'm going to try to get to 2 miles a day when I can, just to try and get some of this fat off and bring my ankles down.
On my bad days I'm lucky to get up the stairs so I'm making the most of the good ones.
I bet you have fun in a wheelchair. I wouldn't trust my boys not to make me do wheelies round Tesco.

A bit of a wheelie would be grand.
Well I can actually see the bottom of the washing pile. It's one small heap of towels on the kitchen floor and will be all done by the time I go to bed tonight.
Everything else is folded and upstairs...still need to put mine away but compared the slopes of Kilimajaro we had at the weekend huge strides forward. I'm savouring this energy surge which hopefully will last until the next F.E.C.king F.E.C on the 6th May. If this continues, filing may even be attempted.
I'm going to try the omlette lesson with SB tonight. He is in love with all things egg at the moment so hopefully this may be something else he likes and decides to practice. Makes me feel I'm being a useful parent as he increases his menu choices. He also got his Bond and ISA updates from Bank of Scotland today so that's another few hundred he can tuck away for the future. He's a big fan of second hand games and checks all the sites before committing to buy...I really think he'll save up for things and make sensible decisions with his cash. That would be good to think he had no debt worries and was managing his money sensibly. Time will tell.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
sounding good...hopefully the pattern will continue x0

Its the sort of stuff that haunts me in the wee, dark hours. I get very worried about him coping if I'm not there but he's doing well.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0

All the new fluffy towels have arrived from Debenhams and been put away. SB completed bemused by the exercise but it's something I've always wanted to do and having been out on my own since I was 17 with cast offs and hand-me-downs, this feels so bizarrely grown-up.
Now I'll probably ignore lovely towels and use the cupboard full of rags so I don't muck them up :rotfl::rotfl:
Went through Quidco and got cashback too
Pet Insurance came through today. Same policy to a tee was £100 cheaper thru Go-Compare and there was £40 cashback. Phoned up MORE THAN to point this out and they've offered to match this years price. Ok I've knocked £36 off renewal but still feel very very done. Now considering stuffing MORE THAN completely and going to another company. Husky's no pre-existing conditions and this may be the last year I can do as she'll be 7 in November.
Any thoughts...when I said to guy I was surprised how little he cared whether or not I left he said "It's up to you." Little snit!!:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
