Needles back to try and manage the nausea. Can't sleep so I though I'd do some diary surfing and I've popped some scones in the oven to keep me "wee small hours" strength up.
Loathe to say I'll do x,y and z tomorrow because it just doesn't happen at the moment. Need a large battery attached to my extremities to try and get me moving.
The only thing in the WHOLE WORLD you need to do is stay well KJ xx
Hope you are doing ok tonight, having lovely dreams of when you are better

Thanks for the kind wishes.
Elsie, that's amazing that you're back to work so soon after chemo. Are you doing a phased return so you can take it at least a bit easy?
Must admit to having had a pretty pants week. Tenant who's moving out on Saturday has started threatening me because she's in arrears and her deposit will be withheld to cover the monies due (still leaves a shortfall of £50) and then of course there's no money available if there's any damage or mess.
I've asked one of the guys from work if he'll come with me on Saturday morning. Anyhow I got myself into a really state on Monday night, stomach cramps and all the attendant issues, couldn't sleep etc. I just don't have the mental and physical stamina to deal with such horrible people at the moment...I'm praying for Saturday to be over.
Wheelchair arrived this morning so that's something new to play with later when SB comes home. Feels very strange but hopefully it's just for a few weeks until the chemo all wears off.
Started reading some historical detective novels set at the turn of the 19th/20th century. They're really good, written by David Dickinson, easy on the brain but still very entertaining.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Yeah but I am recovering quite well in the third week. My 'bounce' comes right back. I'm only going to be working in the mornings as I will be having RT in the afternoons for 3 weeks. As I teach at a college term time only, I only have to do 2 weeks and then finish until September. Going back to work for that fortnight qualifies me for my full time pay then through July/August so I'm being a bit sneaky.
I get major IBS now with the chemo and it is crippling!!! I feel your pain.
You really do have sh ! tty tenants. I'm a council tenant and I have all my stuff set up via dd so rent always gets paid, even on sick pay, although I may have to claim HB next month as things are starting to get tight. Hate claiming benefits but I need to feed the kids.Noli nothis permittere te terere

your tennants are a real PITA and hopefully everything will go smoothly on saturday.
I had terrible stomach problems with FEC all the way through..it was horrendous.
Good that the wheelchair has arrived and that you are enjoying reading x
Take it easy xx0 -
Makes perfect sense. Couple of weeks is doable especially if you know you can kick back for a decent spell afterwards.
I've my own one-man company so all I get is SSP (if HMRC ever manage to fix that) and any DLA I'm entitled to. I'll be going from Chemo to Surgery ayhow so probably looking for work same time you're going back after summer hols.
I found Radio Therapy okay until the very end. I know some people are wiped out by it. I had 5 weeks. Weird thing is (too much info alert) the side that was zapped still won't absorb any moisturiser or oil or anything. Water just runs off the whole area as if it were made of plastic. (End of TMI).
All the best for it when it starts...you'll have to let us know how you go and we'll be there whooping from the side-lines.
As for tenants, I'm a psycho magnet. Be they tenant or man or co-worker - one look at me and the slasher music starts.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Thanks Taxi. I've been whizzing round the hall and practising my 3-point turns. I think we may have to repaint after this. Even the workout on my arms is good.
My 6'8" friend from work is coming with me on Saturday. Is the softest lug in the universe (after SB) so going to stand there and look big. She's just very slow on the uptake. My hypothesis is that she's borrowed the deposit for her new house, which she gets today, on the basis that she'll repay it with this deposit. Unfortunately this deposit doesn't now exist as I'm applying for it.
She also doesn't understand that she didn't fully pay the deposit and when she started paying me £10 pw extra it went to the arrears she had not the deposit. However it makes no difference in the end because if I moved the money from rent to deposit she'd have £200 extra in the deposit BUT £200 more arrears. She only sees the half of the equation where she has £200 more in the deposit oddly enough.
It's very difficult trying to deal with someone who's financially and mathematically innumerate. So I think that's why she's stamping her feet and yelling, her arrears birdies have come home to roost.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Chap who was helping SB in the attic a couple of months ago (that sounds so bad, but I simply can't remember what they were doing in said loft) is coming back round tonight. The SB shaped footprint was fixed but there's still a hole where a light should be.
On top of that the insulation people are coming out at the end of the month to stick 12 inches of stuff up there and it's currently full of loft things. Hoping chap will help us move stuff all to one end by laying some extra flooring and replacing my light.
I can see more SB appendage shaped holes appearing but trying to cast that from my mind.
On a fun note, we're going to test drive the wheelchair tomorrow. SB secretly wants a whirl...and if we hook the husky up to the front...hmm adventure time plus walkies all in one.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.
