Oh kj
what a rubbish time for you. Good riddance to bad tenants. And I hope they can get you booked in for surgery to kill this horrid disease off. You are such a lovely person and deserve better. I hope this coming week is a better one xx

Hello kissjenn
I've just been having a quick read. I'm so sorry you have such a terrible tennant, I really don't understand how she can struggle to understand that she isn't owed any money - the fact that her family came to intimidate you is beyond disgusting.
If you ever need a 5'3'' (on a tall day...) quine to help back you up just you give me a shout! Sending you good vibes for a peaceful night[STRIKE]Credit Card 17.9% = £460 paid off 2013[/STRIKE]!

Owe parents for car = £410/£2950

And I'm still pretending my student loan doesn't exist until I earn enough that they ask for it!0 -
Unbelievable on both counts..so sorry the chemo isn't working0

Thank you all. Your support and good wishes really do help.
Still waiting for appointment, seems surgeon forgot he's off next Monday. But they always struggle at this bit but are great come the surgery so rather they continued messing up paperwork and not me l:D
Letting agency are coming round to pick up keys for empty house tomorrow (it is a lovely little 2 bed, end terrace overlooking the town's rugby pitches so very quiet). Hopefully it'll be let by the end of the month.
Hoping to be off syringe driver in next 2-3 weeks so will have some non-sleepy drive time for a week or two before surgery. That's a happy thought. :j:j I can do some visiting for once. People have been so good to me...happy little bunny here.
So another few weeks of snooziness, still in pjs and gownie here as I'm so tired. Tumble Drier finally kaputed yesterday so washing mountain is growing. Bought an airer but 1 can't keep up with washing machine. Will go and get new tumble drier on Thursday and a couple more air driers which can take the new, super fluffy ie super heavy towels and lighten the tumble driers load.
All in all, sun is making me smile. Windows are open, God is in his heaven and things are looking so good for surgery and return to normality.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
New airers bought and loaded up already. I know it's not very MSE but looking forward to have a tumble drier again, we go through massive amounts of washing here for some reason but at least we're clean and smell pretty nice.
Waiting for attic man and keys lady and then I'll get down to ordering some Dr Who DVDs for SB's birthday at the end of the month.
Tenant's account is way, way down in OD but I'm desperately trying to not prop it up with my money as we all know that my money will never be seen again as ex-OH will happily take the hand out with both sweaty little palms out. Not that I'm bitter and twisted or anything
All the pain and nausea meds are working well. Steroids have pushed my blood sugar levels sky high again but only tomorrow to go and I hopefully come off them for good (there will not be a third round of this).
As I'm going to be off over the summer with SB we've been thinking about a few days in either the Highlands or Ireland. Enough to feel like a break but close enough to home in case of emergency. Does anyone have any suggestions for Ireland, I've been to Dublin a few times but nowhere else. Wondering whether it would be a good idea to take Husky too?
All thoughts and comments gratefully received.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -

Hi Buffy and DFW.
Every bit of info helps...we had planned for a trip of a lifetime to Oz after last year's cancer but that'll have to be postponed until 2014 at the earliest. I think I need to be sensible and try and rest up properly before I think of work or big holidays or anything remotely exerting.
Two bouts in two years plus all the associated treatments have taken it out of me a bit. Although it must be said that this round has felt easier as I've had so much more support and help from friends, the medical profession and SB now that he can drive and will go shopping etc which he couldn't before.
So all in all feeling chipper and bring it on :j:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -

You can do it, and your attitude is great. I'm not sure I could cope as well as you and it must be a great help in the healing process :T What a lovely holiday to look forward to though. I'd love to visit Oz :cool:MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
