Hi beanie.
SB re-applied for college and uni. His exams are on the 15th May so hopefully he'll get a pass. What's your SB up to next year?
DLA warned they take 11 weeks from 10th April, so may not hear until
end June.
Want surgery done and dusted. The whole side now is dimpled, I look like one of the Breast Cancer warning leaflets. It never moved at this rate last time so bit scary. I think it needs to be gone now...we played nice with chemo but it's not behaved so now it must be blasted!!:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. I've not got appt to see surgeons yet but they've booked me a surgery slot.
Delay is two things, one I had chemo last Monday so they wait at least 3 weeks after that to get it through my system. Second is I'm getting "my" surgeon and his private plastics colleague who only does a few hours a week on the NHS. Good news looks like I'm getting that team and, I know there are lots of great surgeons, that relaxes me because we all seem to understand each other.
I'm just a bit concerned that my back's involved. I do keep reminding myself how lucky I am compared with so many other countries and health providers. When I read up on ladies going through this in the US they seem to wait as long, fight twice as hard for tests we get as standard, battle constantly with insurers over every procedure and prescription and have very little community or holistic support. I'm truly glad to be fighting this disease in the UK.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -

4 week countdown...I should add it to my sig.
Been out to buy a new tumble drier. Grandad's moaning that he's no towels. Where are his towels etc etc.
Answer is simple: they're in the bloody great heap with all the other washing you ungrateful old goat.
As you can see the cancer has elevated me to a new spiritual plane where joy and fluffy bunnies live. Evil old scrote :mad:
Off to tackle making some soup now and do some menu planning for the new few days. Thinking along the lines of...
Today: Spag bol and garlic bread
Tuesday: Fajitahs
Wednesday:Gammon, mash and veggies
Thursday: Chicken and chickpea curry with naan bread
Friday: Baked potatoes, chilli prawns and salad
I've most of the main bits in the freezer so I'll knock up a quick list and SB can pick up peppers etc. Also need mince for tonight so I'll go and rouse the student from its lair.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.
