    I've been Money Tipped!
Can I ask,KJ & Taxi, when you have/had your FEC did you have a cannula and did it affect your veins? I only had 2 before they put the Hickman in, but I now have very little use of my right arm. The pain is awful & I can't straighten it or use it for picking anything up now. The nurses have given me a straightening exercise, but it doesn't seem to work.

Can't use my left properly either where they took the lymph nodes out. I may have to claim DLA soon as I'm nearly crippled with this.

Hi Hidden. Tenants are awful and I moan long and hard about them. There is no easy answer but I'm starting to transfer tenancies to an agency which will hopefully help over time.

Elise I had a PICC first time round and a Hickman from the start this time. My veins are bad but I've had nothing like the pain you describe, I just bruise really badly when they go digging.

I had a badly frozen shoulder after they took all the lymphs out. I went to an NHS physio who never touched me and a sports physio who really worked it hard and now I'm back to full mobility.

I claimed DLA and got the lowest rate. Folks on here have encouraged me to apply for a reassessment which I've done and now waiting to hear. Definitely worth putting in a form. I'd also speak to Macmillians about the pain and exercises. They offer a lot of practical, palliative care and may be able to help with the ongoing pain.

Not sure where you are in the country but Maggie's Centres are mines of information and help and could help you explore options as well.

We will all get through this...you, Taxi, me and all the others reading this. We have so many people on our side in MSE-world it can't help but support and strengthen us. Thank you all.

Hi Kissjenn I have just called in to see how you are doing. Agency sounds a fab idea to help reduce your stress load. Hope you feeling ok.
Hope your ok to Taxi. x
Hopefully DLA decision shouldn't take to long. Did you have to send them anymore info? Check your bank as payment usually comes before letters. xxx

Thank you all for such kind words.

Between f.e.c.king F.E.C and f.e.cking tenants life is challenging but I've met so many fab people on here and in RL I can't help but feel positive for the future.

District Nurse has just been (I still think they're marvellous beyond words) and cleaners are in making us fresh and destinky for another week.

SB is up at college for some sort of revision class. He cooked all the dinner last night God bless him. Made enough pots for 4 big appetites and decided that waste not want not applied. I think he's still full this morning :rotfl::rotfl:

I'm still in mega chill mode which is making the treatment easier.

Not due my first payment of DLA until early June with the 3 month waiting period. I did get a letter yesterday confirming that they're looking at reassessing and it's been passed to the decision maker so just a wait and see game now. Macmillian Nurse said they're usually asked for an opinion so I'll wait and see if we hear further from them. I didn't have to send in any further paperwork. They took my update over the phone.
