Well to quote Buffy today was a "see you next Tuesday".

My friend arrived at 9 after getting permission from work to work from home and take me to and from chemo. Got there and he left. Then they tell me they've cancelled my appointment cos they noticed my regime had been changed to F.E.C. so they decided to rebook me in from scratch again. "Didn't we tell you" she says.

    "Eh no you didn't."
    "Surely the consultant told you".
"No, exactly the opposite. They took bloods and organised a priority heart scan yesterday so I could get it today."
"Oh dear. Bit of a mis-communication."

Did see Diabetes nurse and make not have to take steroids with F.E.C. so that'll be good. In the interim they're debating full insulin.

And did managed to get an ambulance home because I refused point blank to haul my friend back 20 miles an hour after he'd left me in the first place.

District nurses had to fit me in too as they been cancelled for the day. Hopefully they'll be able to do me Friday or Monday...but truth be told I'm positively shattered after this week.

Made phone call to DLA to ask them to reconsider. They warned me if I went ahead that they may reconsider against me and I'll could lose my low rate. I said I'd chance it.

No idea if I've given them anything like enough evidence. They said I'd need 7 hours of supervision daily to qualify for mid-rate. That's a lot of care but I'm dizzy a lot now with the drugs and need someone around when I'm in the shower in case I get woozy. We'll just have to wait and see.

Tomorrow CAB are in to see if I can qualify for any help with the admin of the business or anything else they can think of. Amazing how quickly the weeks fly in and still I feel I get so little done.

I did the VAT return today and discovered I can't find my Companies House submission number so I've requested a duplicate. May make it by the deadline or a day late. Hopefully they'll let me off with that.

  • Oh God.

How unbelievably frustrating and stupid. Good for you refusing to get your friend back. disorganised fools.

If they take your Lower rate they will have such a fight on their hands, between this website, FB and any connections we all have I personally pledge to tell EVERYONE and write to everyone, how dare they threaten that how !!!!ing dare they.

they must say that to put people off from querying.

Well done you for phoning. They told me my decision would also be at risk think it maybe something they have to say. They had told me daughter no longer qualified lol i did point that out as they said this...
My argument was that i did not understand as her hearing had got worse not better and that was the only change. Your 7 hrs will soon add up you will be surprised do a simple note on a bad day of how often someone is with you helps you or does something for you. You will be surprised. Take care of yourself keep up the fighting thinking of you. x

Well chemo now set for 9am on Monday. Will try and cajole SB to see if he can drop me off before college...hopefully that'll then be it for 3 weeks :-)

Tired today but saw CAB this morning who are going to try and get me some help with the admin especially since chemo is going to get nastier.

Cleaners and District Nurses have been so we're clean and medicated and can have a little snooze now.
