Well I've been asleep again...since Thursday. I sit down and zzz.

Also feeling the cold something awful so no desire at all to go out or even move around the house. I've a wee cocoon here and I'm staying snuggled in.

Easter's been a none event. Dad's been playing at creating a crisis saying that he's no heart meds when chemist is open with the prescriptions sitting there. There were District Nurses weren't impressed quite stern with him and told him if he didn't have any he'd have to phone NHS24. Then the Weasel slinked out, "Oh but surely it won't matter it I don't take xyz for a day or two. What's it for Nurse?"

"Your heart and it's the only important med you're on. You know where to get it from." Then he skulked out. It's like living with one one of Dicken's less salubrious characters.

Hi. Hope you dont mind me reading your diary. I went through chemo and rads myself three years ago and appreciate how much the treatment takes out of you. Mine was in my neck so it led to me not being able to eat and i got used to not eating and just got weaker.
Anyway something that really helped me was the complan meal replacements. They do a shake and soups. I must admit i didnt care much for the shakes but enjoyed the veg soup made with half milk. It took little effort and then i could pick and choose little snack like meals throughout the day.
    I ordered them via amazon.
As for ready meals, theres some in waitrose that are small portions and are buy 4 for the price of 3. In the freezer section. They might be useful if you want some variety.
Hope all goes well and soon this episode in your life just becomes a memory.
    Take care.

i wish you lived closer i would cook for you! done it for a few friend as they wanted to eat but couldn't stand the thought of cooking or the smell of it. a little bit of what you fancy can really make a difference to how you feel.

  • Hi Kj, Big hugs i'm sorry to hear it has grown :( what a bu9ger ! I was going to suggest soups/shakes/smoothies (as JIL did)- they should be full of vitamins and nutrients too that your body is probably needing right now. I hope you've had a good day xx

hi i have just come across your diary what an amazing person you are. I just want to say that you need to appeal your DLA low rate is not the correct rate for you an appeal can be launched with a phone call. My dd was refused DLA when her hearing condition had actually got slightly worse. After a call mid rate reinstated. For all the travel care etc you are entitled to more help mid is 212 every 4 wks worth a call. also someone else can make this call for you.
Sending you my love and thinking about you and your DS and Father take care. xxxx

  • Hello,

Am feeling all domesticated - have cooked ready brek in the mircowave without it exploding (it did get quite tall and nearly errupted but I rescued it)

The dogs like it too.......don't suppose it is good for them.

any how - Ready meals, Sainsburys do a nice (but expensive) range called "oh My Goodness" I have this curry I like but they do a chicken dinner and other things with rice - fresh ingredients 3 and half minutes in a mircowave, about 3.50 each.

    BIG HUGS as normal xxxxxx
