A golden oldie trotted out by CS yesterday - " I'll give you these items free of charge as a sign of goodwill but it does mean that you cannot bring them back, even if there is something wrong with them".

Ive been told that you cant bring them back as you haven't paid for them.
I politely inform them that by law the goods must be suitable for their purpose, if they're not they will come back I don't expect a refund but I will expect a replacement0 -
Well it made me laugh 'cos she sounded like she was doing us a favour, instead of just honouring their policy. Bless..........It aint over til I've done singing....0

I've always said exactly the same, once I got told "I'd like to see you try!" and the other times they just shrug it off like they know they're in the right.
As yet I havent had a faulty item on R&R although I did get a printer that didnt have one of the leads but didnt bother going back as I already had the same lead.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
