A golden oldie trotted out by CS yesterday - " I'll give you these items free of charge as a sign of goodwill but it does mean that you cannot bring them back, even if there is something wrong with them".

  • Ive been told that you cant bring them back as you haven't paid for them.

I politely inform them that by law the goods must be suitable for their purpose, if they're not they will come back I don't expect a refund but I will expect a replacement

Well it made me laugh 'cos she sounded like she was doing us a favour, instead of just honouring their policy. Bless..........

I've always said exactly the same, once I got told "I'd like to see you try!" and the other times they just shrug it off like they know they're in the right.

As yet I havent had a faulty item on R&R although I did get a printer that didnt have one of the leads but didnt bother going back as I already had the same lead.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

    Please read post 848.......

The policy is NOT changing on the 19.02.07.

Some shrink and security group managers have sent out a document they shouldn't have.

What difference does reading post 848 make?

How do we know who is right?
