Is it going to be a struggle with this Diet Coke 24 pack? I spotted 3 in my local store today. SEL £6.95 but clearly £7.25 on the actual box. Am going to try it tomorrow if they're still there.

No one can really answer that, as no one knows what the attitude of the staff in your particular store.

I usually know in which stores i will have to persuade, and in which store it will be easy.......although i was totally wrong on one today.

However after 9 attempts in the last few days i had one total failure(he said it was at his discretion), and one long wait/confrontation(where HO told her to refund) but the other 7 were painless.

If you think you may have problems. only take a couple, get some other shopping.

Dont ask for a refund, gently inform them you "think" youve been overcharged, go with CS to the shelf....

Keep quiet, let them decide what they are going to do, if they say the SEL doesnt belong to that product, ask them where the SEL is for that product.

If they offer u the difference, let them know while you have been kept waiting, you have read their "if things dont add up" policy on the blue board.......this "should" get you sorted, but if you meet up with a "wasp chewing manager" who says RandR is at his discretion, and wont budge after youve told him it doesnt say that on the board.........walk away, as you arent going to get any where with him, get you coke/money back and go and ring HO, if you feel annoyed about it.

Tell HO, that "the manager agreed it was an ovechrge, but refused to give you the refund, because he says it is at his discretion............Is national policy at the discretion of the store manager?", should again win you your case.

I didnt do this today, as I am known to HO, and it wasnt worth the hassle.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

    Can you back that up?

    Can anybody back that up?

I'm still waiting for someone to actually prove its changing, if the brief has arrived in stores maybe one of the employees would kindly post up a photocopy of it?
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

I think I can safely say that no tesco member of staff, or do you call them teams in tesco? would post an internal document on a public forum like this especially when they know that there are other tesco employees reading what is posted.

All we can do is wait till the 19th just like we did with the 1st Feb. Lets hope we find some bogof that isnt working onthe day before then we can put it to the test.

OK, as you know I work on Checkouts and CSD and I haven't seen any brief as yet. I've been off for a couple of weeks and I actually asked our CS Manager outright if there were any changes/anything happening on my return and she said categorically no.

However, I shall update as and when (and if) anything changes.

    Please read post 848.......

The policy is NOT changing on the 19.02.07.

Some shrink and security group managers have sent out a document they shouldn't have.
