spa2k wrote:I concede the point with regards to entertainment, i certainly didnt quote the policy as I couldnt find it online and therefore was unaware of the word "may."
What confuses me slightly is that customers see being undercharged as being charged correctly because the label is wrong but being overcharged as being charged incorrectly because the label is wrong. Surely if the label is wrong then the label is wrong and you are being charged incorrectly. In fact, forget slightly it is confusing the hell out of me.
Apologies for not seeing your post re "entertainment" ("may" clause)
I really do believe what i said about undercharges. Being overcharged because the SEL is wrong, is Tescos fault, because the law states...etc...etc....but wouldnt be noticed so much if it wasnt for the RandR policy(for want of a better phrase)
Being charged less than is on the SEL (undercharged) doesnt register with people(IMHO) because most people believe that multi national corporations dont make mistakes for the benefit of the customer, hence people think that the SEL must then be wrong and the price charged at the till is correct.
I bet you MUNT's attitude is adopted by a very very small percentage of the people, but if it was still incorporated in the RandR policy as it used to be, then it would increase and then be worth pointing out to CS.
You will always see overchages being noticed more than undercharges, but if there were no policy at all in force, then the percentage difference in complaints would certainly narrow....again IMHO.Couponing....."every little hurts"

Jolly well done for reading my post in full Chris and spotting the obvious mistake...
You are this week's winner of a weekend break to Dundee staying in a specially selected Bed & Breakfast where you can enjoy the company of a MSEr of your choice with £7.50 worth of Tesco Cafe vouchers to spend on a meal for two.
I'll get my coat,
Duder
Ahem, why are you getting your coat - 'MSEr of your choice' -you might not be first choice. I could eat an apple turnover from the Tesco cafe and I've never been to Dundee.0 -
James_N wrote:How do you manage to get banned from a store?
Thats an old story James.
Briefly............ I dared ask for an RandR on a console, he refused, HO overturned his decision...he banned me.
Then in another store, manager said if HO overturn my decision not to give you an RandR on these 4 pieces of beef, I will ban you.....they did, so he did.
Then(through using my clubcard) HO sent me a letter effectively banning me nationwide, if i didnt ask the duty manager if i could enter.....The only problem there was, they only knew I was ME if I asked for permission(or used my Club Card)...so if i didnt tell them, they didnt know....Done £10k+ worth of free business with Mr T since my initial ban.........Couponing....."every little hurts"

Bulk buy policy of 1 item in the copdock store made me actually laugh in the CSAs face. When asked how they can have a bulk buy policy of one item when they do discounts for 6 bottles of wine she (rudely) said it only applies to returns.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

Is it going to be a struggle with this Diet Coke 24 pack? I spotted 3 in my local store today. SEL £6.95 but clearly £7.25 on the actual box. Am going to try it tomorrow if they're still there.0

I was overcharged today on the coke (24 cans).
I only bought 1 pack SEL £6.95, charged £7.25. Went to CS desk and the assistant went off and checked.
When she came back she said in the barcode it had pm, she explained that this meant 'price marked' so that's what I had to pay.
she pointed out it did have a small £7.25 on the corner of the box (which I hadn't seen) I only saw the SEL and my reciept.
I argued that as a customer I don't read barcodes. She made me wait 20mins while she rang various managers and deptments, then said she'd 'kindly' give me the difference.
I reminded her Tesco have a price promise and she said it doesn't apply when the barcode has pm in it.
After ages and ages and everyone in the queue moaning at me .....................I eventually got a R&R. What a palava for £7.25, she almost wore me down ...................only almost
