Maybe not but we WILL be quick to come on here gloating about the free stuff we get when BOGOF offers dont work (double the difference = both products free)
And that'll be an 8p refundMissing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

Plus does the new policy mean that if the cash machine overcharges you then get to keep the cash machine for free?

Hmmm, we'll see Spa.
I will definitely be reporting some stores to Trading Standards, especially the 2 stores I know of where they hardly ever bother to remove a misleading/wrong SEL after I have claimed an R&R. Sometimes I have waited 2 weeks before finally going for the same R&R again, simply because I can due to their lack of PI procedure. IMHO they really need a TS visit to make them care a bit more when they are overcharging their customers.
On the other hand, some stores are very quick to remove the offending SEL (so all the other customers then get charged the higher price of course, but that's another story). Those stores I would not (necessarily) report to TS.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

hi spa2k
did u also recieve the change of policy by mistake?0 -

There are a few on here that may place the value of correct pricing over getting something free but the majority on here are here for whatever they can get and as there is no financial gain to be had in contacting consumer direct (TS) with complaints we know very well it wont happen in the volume that it needs to in order for TS to act.
Even with the current policy I'm aware of a number of investigations having taken place, ask around other stores plenty have had visits from TS.
I have to say its pretty typical for staff say that TS will never be interested, so I'd love to hear the explanation for the visits TS do make to stores.0 -

I dont think that its a case of not enough complaints, i think that there will be a minimal increase in complaints - if any increase at all. Those that are going to complain will have complained already. My post states that most people (not all) will not be moved to act and report things to TS because there is no financial gain from it. I am aware that investigations have taken and will take place, some will come to fruition, others will fall by the wayside and in no way did i state that TS would not be interested.
When I was overcharged by JJB Sports the first thing i did was to report it to TS, not because i was motivated by greed but because they point blank refused to sell something for the advertised price. What I am trying to say is that the majority of people on here simply wont bother because a) it COSTS them money in the form of a phone call, b) it COSTS them time and C) They personally are UNLIKELY to gain any benefit.
For some its a matter of principal and they are the ones have been banging the report to TS drum from the very beginning over a year ago, the others will simply complain at the loss of a good cash cow.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

I was sceptical that the policy was changing as of whatever date however due to other information that i have been given i am no longer sceptical that it will change at some point in the near to mid term future. As predicted way back when, the few will have spoilt it for the many and whilst there may be a few lines that a gain will be made on the days of free TV's and Xbox's will be in the past......isnt greed a lovely thing?Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!
