Very good RD, although I must admit, I had to "google" it.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Spa, while I see your reasons for posting this, is the reason for the dvd/cd/games part of the policy not just down to performing rights/counterfeiting problems, and is that not nullified by the fact that the items are returned still sealed.....i always advise Never to accept opened items of this nature.

Addendum....and Tescos cant add "non sealed" to the policy as some stores actually open these items to display empty cases, so in these stores all are sold unsealed.
As Tesco cannot add the words "non sealed" to the policy then one would suggest that the policy is applied to ALL products regardless of sealing and regardless of reasons why the policy is in place. The fact is that it is a TESCO policy that people are trying to manipulate CSA's into disregarding and thus it seems ok for some people to advocate policy breaking in one instance but not another...double standards plain and simple.

As I said in my first line, I can see your point, and yes, there will always be double standards where humans are concerned, but if the policy was put in place purley for the mentioned reasons, then maybe ALL stores are lax in this as the reason disappears if the items are still sealed when returned, but yes, if these items were refused then no one should have cause to complain, try to persuade yes, but not complain.

I took over 40 games back for refund before Christmas, only once did I encounter any resistance, and that was because I had unknowingly accepted an opened one. I simply explained that the store it was purchased at, displayed empty cases on the shelves, and that was how it was sold, I was more vigilant after that one.

Leadhead, the reason why the policy is in place is of no matter.....nobody questions why the r&r policy is in place when claiming an r&r, they just want a refund. Therefore what rights are there to question WHY the no refund policy is there? The plain fact is that the policy exists. The next plain fact is that there are people actively encouraging employees to ignore the policy for their own gains (40+ cds being an example!) however if those same employees chose to ignore the r&R policy there would be loads of people here whinging at the attitude of the CSA's....

Its called having your cake and eating it i believe.

Sorry for the confusion; it's a Miss Price, not a misprice ;)
It's the first film my little brother saw in the cinema (which dates me, mine was Mary Poppins!).
    Can I help?

I'm going to Tescos on Tuesday to get some shopping and will be looking out for some misprices to feed my family a little bit nicer. So wish me luck they haven't changed it by then.

You don't need luck for that. It will not have changed.
