I've got a nasty feeling he'll ignore anything not to do with the "green initiative". Anyway, ASDA has been green for ages, Sainsburys is orange, Morrissons is yellow and Tesco is red :)

Apparently thats all he spoke about(green issues)......there were loads of disappointed listeners who actually thought he would talk about RandR.........or even answer their questions......

I thought we'd agreed not to print lists like this as we already know that Tesco use this site to correct mistakes, so although you're making it easier for us, you're making it less likely to find them because Tescos will use your list?

You and who agreed this Josie?..........This list is available, as is, on EPH.....which Tesco also monitor...........MSE members might as well benefit from it as well.

Today I bought 4 of the PSP games stickered £19.94, charged £19.97. At customer services, when they were processing the refund, they pointed out that on the bill the multibuy 2 PSP games for £30 quid offer had kicked in, and my heart sank. On the bill, after the mulit-buy savings had been deducted, I had only been charged £15 quid for each game, but I hadn't noticed this on the reciept.

However, the customer service person still refunded me £60 for the 4 games, explaining to her supervisor over the phone that there had been a misprice based on the £19.94/£19.97 difference.

I'm sure the customer service person got this all wrong and I shouldn't have had a R&R on this.

Yes.....thats a strange one, as the 2 for £30 is the current offer.

    Nice one though.

  • I got a similar one today - misprice on DVD as part of 3 for 2 and got the whole misprice, without taking into account the other DVD free. This meant I got £19.97 back via R&R and £9.97 off for the third DVD.

This works out at £9.97 for three DVDs :D

I've noticed that our local Tesco has removed the self scanners. Has anyone else noticed the removal of self scanners from their stores, and do you think it has anything to do with RnR policy?

No removal of self scanners near me - all ok in my stores....

BUT I have noticed that some of them have been seemingly deliberately broken (screen has gone funny and cannot be read - looks like someone hit it hard) and they are never repaired. My suspicisions are raised by a local store having two scanners both with the same fault on their screens....I reckon the manager hit them both with a hammer in a rage after a potentially large and painful R+R

On another subject - does anyone know if any other companies (Except ASDA) have a policy anything like Tesco's overcharge policy? Homebase used to have one but that was years ago and abolished almost immediately as they did double the difference and it cost them a fortune (they were paying customers including me to take goods out of their store)

You don't need self scanners for smaller items - just take them a vacant till and ask the operator for the price and they'll scan it and then you say "That's great" and walk away - works everytime...then dispose or purchase item as appopriate....

I used this technique today actually and thought I'd got an XBOX game on R+R but the price was actually correct on shelf and it scanned at same price...gutted... I then proceeded to say "that's great" in the least enthusiastic voice ever through gritted teeth and sulked off....

Went to an Extra today armed with my R&R shopping list. Nothing going, even all of the meats were correct!

Spend 60 quid (this R&Ring has certainly made me spend a lot in Tesco!) and checked the receipt, the wife noticed an accidental misprice!

Strips for removing blackheads - 4.00 SEL (yellow expired), charged 5.98

    Easy R&R with a smile!

Decided to goto another Tesco Extra and same again, so picked up 3 packs this time, not being too greedy.

This time, they scanned at 4 quid. Not to worry, our daughter needs these anyway, just found it quite strange!
