Newer stores and refurbished stores are having the newer ones fitted and all appears to be well with those.
The new ones are so much better than the old ones!:T I stopped bothering with the old ones as they never scaned what i wanted them to!
Decided to activly stop r&ring now! I find its just not worth the arguments at customer service desk. The last thing i was overcharged was baby food I lost the will to live after 10 mins. Ok fine if your not going to give it to me for free, at least apologise and charge me the correct price. Dont give me some song and dance why its not a missprice. I DONT CARE!
So, from now on i will only go to Tescos for the clubcard point voucher offers. My custom is going to Asda!Oh look a bunny!0 -
So chuffed - just had my first R & R - the Horrid Henry Wicked Ways book, still SEL £5.97, big sticker on the front saying £4.97. Went through at the higher price, so went to customer services (with my knees knoking) and had it refunded no problem at all - excellent, will give it to DD for her birthday!!!!0

congrats on your first R&R
is this the blue or red book?Another day another R&R
kindly sponsored by tescos.

Know what you mean. Sometimes I just don't have the bottle to try, but then half the time the error has been corrected before I find the product (SEL removed or correct price on systems).:(
However, if you feel crap after an R&R it's a bit pointless. I was really pleased after my DVD freebies at the weekend. Especially as I headed straight to Boots who seem determined to give me loads of cosmetics/toiletries for as little as possible.
Just keep praticising and hopefully you'll feel better soon0 -
2 R&Rs today
1st no problems at all
2 * Nintendo DS Games £19.94 sickers £19.97 Ring up (Put thru as 2 transactions to avoid the 2 for £30)
CS Manager very nice, but did send the Checkout supervisor over to the till operator to give her a talking to for not picking up on it
2nd Hmm!! (At a seperate store)
Found some Finest Lamb Leg Joints SEL £6.49 kg. 6 units on disply, 3 correctly priced and 3 at £6.98 kg
took the 3 incorrect,
At CS the dragon on duty first accused me of removing the yellow price mark stickers!.
Called the Duty manager who said as they were priced correctly on the package the R&R did not apply!.
Stood my ground and she called the store manager who offered to reduce them to £6.49 Kg.
Stood my ground again with mubblings of Trading Standards with the photocopied T&CS in hand that they had displayed on the counter.
In the end they relented and R&Rd but then advised that as they had the right to not sell to anyone who they felt were abusing the terms that I was not welcome there again, recorded my name / address / Clubcard & Credit Card numbers and sent me packing!
So a really nasty experience after the nice guy at store one..Over 100k miles of Electric Motoring and rising,0 -

Unfortunately the immaturity of some of the managers shows again.
Its happenned to a few of us like that.
Pity you hadnt taken previous advice, and not used your ClubCard.
More than likely nothing more will become of it, and the ban will be to that specific store.
You would be advised not to use your ClubCard in future(for RandRs), as this is Tesco's way of identifying you and your movements(if they feel the need to).Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
