Tesco misprice discussion area part 17

Maybe it would be an idea to wind this thread up, precisely because Tescos monitor it and we're making their job easier! As long as the basic RnR principle is known, and this thread is left as a sticky perhaps, then everyone can just comb Tescos for their own finds - generally the SAs take off the SEL once an RnR has been paid anyway.0

But it shows that management don't allow them to do their PI jobs and instead farm them off to the tills.
If the PI department are doing other peoples job then of course there is no due dilligence.ॐ Signature Removed by Someones Mum. ॐ0 -
Am i right in believing that offers which expire on a given date will automatically go up in price at midnight on the following morning........do you know what i mean?
ie a jar of coffe is reduce from 5.99 to 3.49 and the sel expires on 1/1/99. If i was in the store at 1 minute to midnight on the 1/1/99 and scanned this item at 1 minute past midnight, would it scan at the full price?
Therefore creating a misprice?
Or does it not work like that? Any insight would be superb
We all know what date it is soon, i wanna plan my strategy :j0 -

Nope ! Many Tesco so called "limited time" or "time expiry" offers just continue on and on ........ and they just dont bother to replace the label with the new extended time expiry label........not urgent in their opinion maybe !
Take a look at nappies next time ur in any supermarket...they have been on offer forever !!! And it looks to me like monopolies commission should look at how the two big manuf. manipulate there offers to suit each other.
It certainly is an r&r if it does go through tills at higher price than the OOD SEL offer price....but hardly at 1 min past midnight.give them some "due diligence" for that..
Reporting OOD finds is why this site is here to mention the ones we find and share...hope this helps.0 -
Hey_Dude wrote:Constantine,
There has been a rumour doing the rounds that Tesco will be ammending the 'Our Promise' to 'double the difference' on over-charged products from next month.
Given that you are one of a very few Tesco employees with any credibility (IMHO of course) on this forum - can you comment?
Cheers my man,

Only ever heard of it on here. That could be for a number of reasons...Could be that it is going to be trailed in a certain region first (same thing happened with Green CC points), could be that I am not high enough up the food chain or it could be that the whole thing is Jackanory.
Time will tell.Who or what was I before you came in to my life

Just listened to podcast of Friday 2pm radio interview by radio 5s Simon Mayo with sir Terry leahy was all about environmental stuff and nothing about r&r or policy change.0

just had three r&r's
one on cat food £2ish
one on chicken £3ish
should have had one on beef£5ish, but the cs assistant got the section mananger, the section manager got the manager and together with a general assistant, searched and found the higher price sel.
What I want to know is if there are two sel prices, what is their policy, the manager had disappeared and the section manager basically said tough luck. I had genuinelt only seen the lower price, which was with the meat. He said that I must have picked up what somebody had put back.
Can anyone help?

misprices? That would keep them at it.
And how would you determine who you told which ones were phoney and which wern't.
Not all tesco employees are called Tesco Employee.Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
