I don't think anyone has said it's illegal per se. However, it is on the wrong end of right and wrong and that's a good enough reason to find the practice abhorrent:p
If it's so 'wrong' please explain Tesco's own Dotty advert that demonstrated the refund and retain policy.0 -

Sorry. I'll add a few more to my ignore list and restrain myself.:A0 -

In fact, dont because it will only prolong your stay and lets face it its probably past your bed time anyway.Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!
I don't exist, it is merely your imagination.

I hope that means the nasty Leadhead gets a spank for calling myself and a couple of others trolls.
Oh but no, how you are dealt with will depend on where you stand on these issues.
How democratic. People who have been banned from stores for downright illegal tactics (previously well documented on this very thread) are championed.
Oh well back to getting my list of misprices ready for tomorrow.
If I just take the SELs off and hand them into CS that should be sufficient, eh?
Hi ho hi ho it's off to Tesco (Dundee and Silverburn) I go.0 -
Edit: forget it, ithe post is clearly being ignored in favour of petty squabbling anyway.:rotfl:0

This post is so hypocritical, it's almost the weirder side of perverse:p0 -

IT'S NOT THE POLICY IT'S THE BLATANT ABUSE OF IT THAT ANNOYS PEOPLE !
So a television commercial portraying a customer actively seeking out misprices for the purpose of claiming a refund and retain wouldn't be considered as promoting the aforementioned abuse?0 -
Couldn't put it better. But it really is the end of the discussion now. There will be no more refund and returns from Tesco due to the abuse of the policy. We have those who abused it to thank while they enjoy, more often than not, the cash they got from unashamedly sticking 20 xbox 360's on Ebay that they were overcharged by a matter of £1 for. Sickening really.bluey9 wrote:For the umpteenth time.

Of course not, it's promoting the benefits of the customer service proposition. The abuse is the perversion that is inherent in those people that seek to abuse it.
When you see an insurance advert, it's not an open invitation to commit insurance fraud on a mass scale is it?0
