how come reporting isnt as easy as it should be
• Can I just add that the stores have all forgotten to take the little posters down on each till point.

Classic yesterday:

"We've got a new Double the difference policy"

"What about this policy on the small poster here...."

"Oh yeh....."

I am trying to get one of the journalists who wrote the Telegraph story interested in the wider problem that's yet to be reported in the media.......

Yeah,

Just got round to reading the telegraph link. What a laugh - activists!! No! I just don't like getting overcharged and fail to see why Mr. T should have more profit out of me due to keeping such money on top of the profit he already makes from me as the result of my spending thousands in his stores and petrol stations each year.

So much for the final comment that the shelf label was removed. No doubt it was but should't a good journalist have gone on to say that therefore the subsequent customers in that store were being knowlingly overcharged from that point forward?

(Also wasn't it lucky that R & R was given with no quibble?)!

As for blaming the removal of the policy on the X-Box fiasco - I DON'T THINK SO!

If it was just that large refunds had been given on such products, wouldn't Mr. T merely have excluded electrical from the policy?

The truth is that customers are being overcharged at an alarming rate on a regular basis - meat, fish, cheese, wine, general groceries, toiletries etc etc etc - the list goes on & on & on & on & on.......
Mr. T - Stop overcharging your customers.
Bring back consumer confidence.

Which one of you out there with a Tesco email account is going to grab doublethedifference@Tesco.com for an addy then? You could have fun between you filling their servers up with addy's like Getrippedoff@ overcharged@ getrobbedby@ spotthemiprice@:rotfl:

just to clarify, please note that this thread is purely for discussing the Tesco misprice policy and it's implementation.

It is not for discussing the ethics of it, not for arguing about it, and not for discussing coupons and the method or ethics of using them (there are threads on the Discount Codes and Vouchers board where Tesco coupon usage is discussed at length)

Thanks.

Hmm I stopped posting because of this quote. I presumed that the ban on discussion of ethics referred to both sides of the argument, yet it continues to fill the pages.
• Well it looks like I will have to find some other TESCO shop to spend my money in :( as I was asked today, to kindly refrain from gracing them with my presence ever again in my local  !!! They wouldn't say very much other than it was "due to bad shopping practices" but they wouldn't go into any more detail than that because they didn't have too  !!!!

I told them that I would be getting in touch with their HO to put in a formal complaint and well as formally complaining about 2 members of their staff (one is on security and the other is a CSA - right pair of ignorant !!!!!es who couldn't look my way today as I was giving the management a piece of my mind and their names were mentioned!!!) so if anyone has any pointers on what to put in my letter please PM me.

!!!!!! happens!!!:D
• ... I do my very best to make sure the customer is happy (including up until now R+Ring through the nose!).

I am looking forward to "regular ""Customers""" faces when I inform them they will no longer be receiving their R+R, and will simply be receiving double the difference overcharged.

I invite you to shop at Sainsbury's, ASDA and Somerfield from now on.

Tom
Hmmm...I'm sure your words in the second post go a long way to making your customers happy.

By the way, remember that HO reads this site. You've identified yourself to them by giving your cashier and store number. Do you think they're going to be happy that you've told Tesco customers to shop at Sainsbury's, ASDA and Somerfield from now on? Remember, you aren't posting the opinions of Tesco, but as you've identified yourself as a Tesco employee, comments like the above could be seen as gross misconduct.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Yeah me too. However if it's OK for R&R !!!!!!, (thanks Bluey), then it's gotta be ok for the "moral majority". ;)
