Tesco misprice discussion area part 17

You know those CS staff with faces like they're chewing a wasp? I cannot wait to take an overcharge to them asap, just to see them smirk and inform me proudly that I won't be getting a full refund this time......'oh no', I will say (trying hard to look disappointed), 'is it really only double the difference now?'
Then I will hand over my £19.99 DVD that's scanned at £44.99 and watch them struggle with their calculator as the penny drops.....:D :T
It's a game isn't it? Never had this much fun (or freebies) when I shopped in Sainsburys, and I certainly never looked forward to a supermarket trip then. I reckon it's yet another Tesco tactic to [STRIKE]take over the world[/STRIKE] get us back through their door, they thought 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em' and gave us a new challenge to keep us interested.
P.S. What was that DVD mentioned on the thread earlier? Maybe it's one of EPH's underground finds, if so good on you....no point tipping off [STRIKE]Sir Terry[/STRIKE] Cheapskate on here.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am pleased to announce that from 11pm 19 February 2007 there will be notification on the top of each till receipt informing customers that our refund policy has changed and is being rolled out during this week with all stores adopting the new policy by MONDAY 26 FEBRUARY 2007.
The immoral (golden R+R) people of this world have finally succeeded in pushing Tesco to withdraw this policy to the detriment of the genuine customers most pleased when they are informed they will receive a refund and be allowed to keep the product.
I am looking forward to "regular ""Customers""" faces when I inform them they will no longer be receiving their R+R, and will simply be receiving double the difference overcharged.
I never believed R+Ring was a way of "moneysaving", and I still do not. I invite you to shop at Sainsbury's, ASDA and Somerfield from now on.

...and before anyone else says it, I'm simply giving my personal views about the withdrawal of the policies and my mixed feelings about it.0 -

Well I never!
Thanks [STRIKE]Troll[/STRIKE] Tom (are you THE TescoEmployee though, you're not are you, you're just Tesco Employee).
Off you go and wait for me to approach the CS desk at your store tomorrow with a ton of meat or a nice large overcharge (see above).
See you there, and make sure you have enough overcharged Duracell batteries in your calculator! :rotfl:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Believe me, I was as surprised to get the new information as everyone! I simply have reservations about purposely hunting misprices and boasting about how much you've received from them. I thought it would be useful to make everyone clear of the policy from Tesco's point of view and I cannot help feeling bad for the genuinely overcharged customers who's faces lit up with the thought of getting something for nothing.0

Hmmmm, that's me you're talking about....I am a good actress....it's easy in stores where you are an unknown!
You really think you can tell the difference between Mrs Bloggs and me (a fairly-serial R&Rer). How so?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Somebody needs to get out more. :rotfl:0 -
I'm not saying I can tell the difference between a seriel R+Rer and a genuine surprised shopper, I'm just saying that the majority of genuine customers were more than happy when they got the full money in their hand, and looked puzzled..(which was funny at times
