Hi - I am new to this website any shop weekly at Tescos and have repeatedly been over charged, spotted it and got myself correctly charged without knowing their refund policy....I am owed a refund !!!.

Any tips on what to look out for this weekend?

Unfortunately Tescos are pulling the plug on the refund policy as we know it on the 26th..........watching the thread below may give you a chance to gain one before it finishes

    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

I was in Tesco Edinburgh tonight, I picked up the Barbie DS game which I was overcharged for by £10.00. I went to the cs desk and the staff member advised me that I would be getting £20.00 back, He then went on to say there policy had changed. He said anyone that gets overcharged gets double the difference back. I was still happy with that as I got the £27.97 game for £7.97

Seems everyone is watching the Tesco Show on telly. I've got it on but it's stating the obvious really....I get bored easily so my mind wandered back to rockyrose's post. She posted that when giving DTD today, the CSA had marked the receipt 'overcharge' or whatever.

That will be VERY interesting when we need to return something for the promised no-quibble refund, because we've changed our mind within 28 days. I take it CSAs have not been told to note the AMOUNT of the difference on the receipt? Doh, Mr T have dropped another clanger IMHO, what's to stop a customer saying 'oh yes, the difference was 3p' (when it was £6)?

Following on the heels of the Golden and then the Silver, have I discovered the bronze R&R?
Surely you mean what's to stop a customer saying 'the difference was £6' rather than the real 3p?

Edit: No forget that I understand what you mean now.

Finishes next week... The new policy is that you get double the amount overcharged back. So, if you are overcharged by £3, you get £6 back...

Also - staff aren't allowed to use R&R. Bros OH works at HO...

  • policy change is a defniate.
we recieved our updated board info today aswell as briefing on the changes.

so grab em while you can.

def doesn't start til 26th though and if you are charged wrong upto 25th then u will still get full r&r. so if u are given double the difference before the 26th the store is scamming you.

No 3p rather than £6 this means only 3p will be considered for deduction from the refund. Leaving you with a £5.97 profit on the transaction.
