My apologies for the mistake... humble pie eaten in great lumps.

I cant see what the fuss is about really, at the moment an overcharge is met with a full refund and retain of the product. the main gripe I see is that most people are concerned about overcharging full stop, so to be offering the difference shows that Tesco is prepared to honour the lower price anyway.

I do think however that because there is a lack of free products the new change is being attacked

Yeah that's fair enough - but bear in mind the law states that a product must be sold at the lowest price displayed, so Tesco are not really doing anything apart from amending the law being broken.

Do you mean the difference or double the difference by the way?

    Double the difference.

As someone earlier previously stated, mistakes are made so how I see it is although a higher price is charged Tesco seem to be willing to adjust that immediately. As I stated earlier what other retailers get the same treatment as Tesco ? few I expect due to their lack of an R&R policy.

Admittedly Tesco takes a fair bit of flack, but on the other hand, somebody has mentioned before, alot of customers would be of the opinion that Tescos prices fluctuate the most. Therefore more misprices and overcharges

It goes with the territory I suppose - as the market leader they set the precedent. Removing the r&r policy seems to be some sort of admission that they don't have the capability to ensure prices are correct. Yes mistakes are made, but there are a number of Tesco stores that I have been in that are extremely good on all fronts, especially accurate pricing.

If these stores can consistenly do it, then there is no reason as to why they all can't. Perhaps Tesco should look internally and share best practise methods rather than blame external factors for problems in their business.

Got to be honest never been in a Tesco store that was consistently accurate with its prices - been in a few that looked like I'd beaten to the misprices though.:D

Oh so whats the gauntlet then, go get £200 of R &R and roll up your trouser leg before you can join the club ? I'm not in for the games, just an honest discussion.
