Tesco are taking a big gamble to change the policy, they are gambling that the prospect of detecting and identifying a misprice will no longer be a viable option to the serial guy, they are gambling that as a result he will go away, {many will} they are gambling that the press will not pick up on it and that if they do the backdraft will be managable, they are gambling that the current level of pricing integrity will at least prevail if not rise, they are gambling that if it doesn't there won't be enough of us left to exert similar pressure in the future!
I will, will you?0 -

You and i know that it is being changed because some greedy so and so decides he wants 8 xboxes for free, not 1...because someone wants 4 copies of tom clancys splinter cell not 1 and so on and on. Hate to say it but its greed pure and simple.
I think that if Tosco are prepred to sell you 8 Xboxes and 4 copies of tom clancys splinter cell in one transaction, AND have policy of R&R, they are obliged to give you your money back. How many people did this? I guess none. Why - because Tesco would not honour this. If they do not honour this, they are cheats and liars.
On the question of GREED, this site is all about moneysaving ideas and LEGAL scams (Or loopholes if you prefer). Just look at Martin Lewis posts!
The reason the policy could change IMHO is due to the CS staff being under pressure from the Manager not to pay out on r&r. This is why they have the bad attitude.
I honestly believe that moral in Tesco is very low, with staff feeling overworked and underpaid.
Or maybe I am wrong and minority of Tsco staff like to tell lies and cheat customers!0 -
Hi everyone
I have lurked for a while and have decided to jump in with both feet, although I think it's ok for the odd R & R, whats with the bad blood between some people,? if Tesco are changing the policy - why is this such a bad thing and surely they are not the only retailer (large or small) to have problems with their price integrity ? why are more retailers no targeted0 -

See what I mean - I thought that a forum was for a CIVIL discussion, not for petty taunts or back biting.
Everybody has an opinion which will always be right or wrong, depends on who is reading it.
Your just plain rude :mad:0 -
IMO sometimes people take general comments and opinions too personally.
And some posters have to run the newbie gaunlet, before they're accepted.Quotes in context only please.0 -
Oh so whats the gauntlet then, go get £200 of R &R and roll up your trouser leg before you can join the club ? I'm not in for the games, just an honest discussion.0
