See what I mean - I thought that a forum was for a CIVIL discussion, not for petty taunts or back biting.

Everybody has an opinion which will always be right or wrong, depends on who is reading it.

    Your just plain rude

No I meant what does the policy change mean to you? What are your views?

One more thing, if running a grocers shop is sooo simple, why are the store managers paid quite handsomely for doing it?

One observation I would like to make on the prospect of any change to the policy is:

Tesco are taking a big gamble to change the policy, they are gambling that the prospect of detecting and identifying a misprice will no longer be a viable option to the serial guy, they are gambling that as a result he will go away, {many will} they are gambling that the press will not pick up on it and that if they do the backdraft will be managable, they are gambling that the current level of pricing integrity will at least prevail if not rise, they are gambling that if it doesn't there won't be enough of us left to exert similar pressure in the future!

    I will, will you?
    I will.Anyone else?

My apologies for the mistake... humble pie eaten in great lumps.

I cant see what the fuss is about really, at the moment an overcharge is met with a full refund and retain of the product. the main gripe I see is that most people are concerned about overcharging full stop, so to be offering the difference shows that Tesco is prepared to honour the lower price anyway.

I do think however that because there is a lack of free products the new change is being attacked

Will usually not be overcharged ---or--- Will usually not notice they've been overcharged?

Two very different things, and I think the latter is more the case than the former.

After all, a heck of a lot of people buy Coke and pre-packed meat, don't they?
And I bet a tiny, tiny percentage of those people noticed they'd been overcharged.

And if they do notice they are quite happy to be re-imbursed for the difference as the CSA blatantly ignores official store policy but blatantly follows unofficial policy of only offering a full refund if asked.

Oh so whats the gauntlet then, go get £200 of R &R and roll up your trouser leg before you can join the club ? I'm not in for the games, just an honest discussion.

I've had way over £200 of r&r, what do I roll up if I don't wear trousers.;)

Might go on my first r&r run in weeks at the weekend, do you think stores will still honour it if they know its changing Monday??
