What an arrogant and complacent attitude (but entirely unsurprising from a Tesco employee). Anyway, Sainsbury's and Asda aren't exactly more expensive than Tesco.
Believe me, keep treating people with contempt and they WON'T come back.0 -
i don't understand all this hatred from the tesco staff towards r&r's!! what is the problem? if you see someone get an r&R does it come directly from your salary?? no it doesnt! i know if i worked there i'd be pleased to see someone get something for nothing...as tesco's very own motto says "every little helps".0

And let's face it, with some of the pricing howlers they have, double the difference may well be almost as much as you paid for it anyway! lol
It's sticking plaster on a arterial wound, Mr T, and above all else, will not solve the very fundamental original problem of keeping on top of SEL's and software glitches. It aint over til I've done singing....0 -
Odd_Fellow wrote:So many overcharges are not "genuine mistakes". It's wilful negiligence by the company, at whatever level.
This comment is based in the following fact.
When an overcharge is brough to CSD attention, a report is made out on the product. If nobody takes any notice of this report and so rectify the issue, then it's wilful neglect - there can be no argument. What's the point of making a report of the problem is nobody takes responsibility for correcting it?
Spot on. Added to the fact that Tesco have the technology at their disposal to trace everyone they've already overcharged who used a Clubcard or a debit/credit card, after the misprice is brought to their attention.
They could make an automated refund or goodwill gesture in the way of adding points to all those peoples' accounts.
But they choose not to. Which in my book is the same as knowingly retaining stolen money, when you know who the rightful owner of that money is. Tesco = morally bankrupt. And they call us thieves. Ha.0 -
Incidentally, is it possible to accept an r&r/refund/double the difference etc and then report the over-charge to Trading Standards afterwards? It aint over til I've done singing....0

Absolutely. The original offence still remains.
It's better, in a way, because the R+R is their admission of liability that they overcharged you and hence broke the law.0 -

Pressed thanks by mistake, shame it cant be retracted.
Why Oh Why would anyone actually take the new document home and scan it just to prove you lot that the policy is changing. TescoEmployee gave plenty of advance warning, others have come on here and said it is going to happen and i would now be suprised if it doesnt.
The amount of sweeping insults towards the staff members on the posts from the last 24 hours shows why the more eloquent posters very rarely (if at all) post any more. Their posts are shouted down by the cacophony of rubbish such as quoted above.
Ben500, Munt etc etc please come back all is forgiven......Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

For the same reason that they bother to seek out MSE on the internet, set up usernames, and make comments on this thread about dates of policy change?0 -

This isnt directed at you, but why oh why would dozens of newbies hunt this place down & register just to post about this change in policy?
Taking a quick picture with a mobile and then transfering it to pc then uploading to a hosting site really isnt a lot of trouble for someone whose sole intention is proving a point?TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
