Hi, I know I'll probably get flamed as a newbie because I haven't posted on here before, just browsed, but...
Just been into Loughborough (Leics) Tesco and suddenly spotted a second policy board propped behind CS (not intended to be on display).
It has the "double the difference" policy on that I've seen mentioned on here
Asked CSA when new policy came in, she replied "when the board goes up" *mutters* so asked when that would be and she said "some time today".
    :cry::cry::cry:

You'd think if it was such common knowledge between all tesco employees from the trolley wallys to management that one of the numerous posters on here would have been able to provide even a scanned memo with this info on.

What are the chances of that eh, thanks for the info.

I take it you got a cheeky photo of it on your phone?

Oh, and I have never deliberately R&Red something until last week (and that was only because it is something I buy every week anyway, so I bought more knowing they were mispriced) but I am still upset about the policy going.
I'm on a budget so thoroughly check receipts for anything I buy... the Tesco policy has given me a few nice surprises in the past and made up for the times I have been in a hurry and only spotted the mistake when I got home.
Therefore I cannot agree that only serial R&Rers will be disappointed.

  • I've just been into my local tescos & their policy board has changed too.
It now says "double the difference" :(
Such a shame, shopping in tescos won't be so much fun anymore ;)

That didn't actually occur to me... but I'm sure I could manage it after 10pm when the desk closes! Prob can't go tonight cause my bloke may not appreciate Valentines night in Tesco, lol, but will go in tomorrow night and do my best!

Tescos is a sh+th@le anyway. Dreadful customer service, inferior products. I would recommend that when they do stop the r&rs that you folks move your custom to a more upmarket civilised store like Sainsburys or Waitrose.

I kicked the !!!!! out of it for 2 months and had £500 in r&rs, and i'm quite happy with that!

    Happy shopping people!

If this is the case, then surely once they have given you double the difference there is nothing to stop you asking there and then for a full refund on the product you ahve just been overcharged on.

    Double the difference?

What price do they use to double the difference? The SEL or the SCAN.

    Take XBOX 360 :

    SEL 279.99
    SCAN 299.99

You get back 40 quid after paying 299.99

    i.e. 259.99

Nowhere as good a deal as the free ones in January.

Got to agree the meat refunds are going to be fun:D
