Tesco misprice discussion area part 17

spa2k, yes its seems such an easy job to me, maybe you need help running your shop, after all, Toscos supermarkets are big grocers shops.
You want to use the coke as such a hard thing to sort out? The second an R&R is generated, is it too hard to completely remove ticket prices completely, then sort out the problem?
but 6 whole days! and it sill gets R&Red, come on.
Nobody admits to being a numpty, but there seems to be few working for Tescos.
Maybe, I'm wrong, some staff may not take working for a grocers shop as seriously as you.Quotes in context only please.0 -

True, you havent been anywhere but your constructiveness and coaching of people in probably the correct course of action moved the thread on and away from the "I got xyz, arent i clever" and the general moaning that is now all too commonplace. This quantity of your posts on the thread has declined and it is now a rare pleasure to read your comments rather than the frequent pain in the !!!! that they were!:o
I think most seasoned posters on here will agree that there have been major improvements since the early days of the thread, and, that Tesco have been FORCED to get their act together rather than do this willingly, as an individual my efforts to report and pursue complaints through T/S and other avenues were miniscule compared to the results this thread has produced.
My philosophy is that you cannot kill a giant with a toothpick but an army of toothpick weilding warriors will down the stoutest of foes. Tesco is at this very moment wobbling ever so slightly as the result.
I'm sure jobs will have been created as a result also, well perhaps created is not really an appropriate term, more a case of the phoenix rising from the ashes, I'm sure you will agree spa pricing integrity hit an all time low around four years ago, and nobody really gave a !!!!!! then at head office, they do now.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

You are right, no one admits to being a numpty and yes there are a few working for Tesco as well as just about every other company you care to name however your edited post above simply serves to show the world how small minded and ignorant you are capable of being and seems to serve no other purpose. You seem like the kind of customer that all retail staff love...the ones that begin a sentence to a member of staff in a grocers shop with "Oi"
Please tell me what life is like up on your pedastal.
One more thing, if running a grocers shop is sooo simple, why are the store managers paid quite handsomely for doing it?Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

Hello all, long time no post, but I thought I would share seeing as it looks like the end is nigh.
I have just had a very interesting R&R,
CS desk very smuggly told me that the policy is changing and that I will no longer be able to get free items, to which I replied "OH NO......I thought it already had, damn, that means I'm only going to get a refund on this then? not double the difference? I was hoping that you were about to give me £34.97 and I keep the item... oh wait you are!" (Item was advertised as half price)
The smug grin soon went when she realised the new policy is still going to result in errors being made, and this was an error, the reason I had this R&R was due to lazyness of staff not removing obvious displays that they had been previously told about.Sig ah Sig Ahhh0 -
orainsear wrote:Ok... so what you are suggesting is that if a single person obtains 8 XBoxes from 8 stores by r&r it's not on, hence the policy change.
So if 8 people had each r&r'd those 8 XBoxes (i.e. one each) from the same 8 stores the policy wouldn't be changing?Fight Poverty - Hit a tramp!

SPA2k, I don't know what you're driving at with the edited post bit?
But if you made the assumption, of me being small minded, ignorant etc blah blah. Maybe I'm suited to a Tosco CS job. Hang on I'm not to good at BSing.
While you're sorting the form out, could you explain the 6 day R&R coke thingy, and how this could have occured. It seemed to have slipped your mind.Quotes in context only please.0 -

I'm not sure about the jobs being created bit....

spa2k wrote:No, what i am saying is that the 8 different people would have r&r'd them anyway but as well as that you have many different people running around r&r'ing in multiple stores. If if werent for the multiple r&r'ers the policy probably wouldnt be changing - having said that, the chance to r&r should have been taken away after the first one.
I would disagree with this, the braggards and grabbers {hey we're on the grabbit board} alone would not bring about such a change.
Tesco never in their wildest nightmares envisaged the uptake on the policy would get to the levels they acheived in the last quarter, the levels reached would not have been attained without this and other such forums, the above groups only account for a relative small portion of the overall uptake, they may well have encouraged others to an extent and in that way bear an increased effect though, that I would agree to.
Let's face it Tesco's are masters at marketing this time they just happen to be the victims of it. That is of course if your deluded enough to think them victims.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

Surely after the first r&r in any single store there wouldn't be any more on the same product (especially something big like an XBox)?
From the above example of the XBoxes the total amount given away does not change - it's still 8 XBoxes (assuming that each store locks down after the first r&r so there will not be any more given away).
How does one multiple r&rer manage to obtain more free goods than the eight individuals?0 -
Re multiples of R&R'd XBOX's, you would think that when a store had been hit once, that would be it, but NO, I managed to do it twice in one store, they managed to put the offending display stands out a few days after I had already got one, now that surely is down to bad management, that was asking for someone to do it again, and again, and again!!Sig ah Sig Ahhh0
